Cent Curation Vs 20% HBD Savings: An Analytical and Statistical Evidence Why Cent Curation Generates More Value to Investors than HBD On-chain Savings

Greetings to my esteemed friends on hive and Cent community, hope you guys are doing well and all is going well today with you. It's good to bring forth good news to us in form of posts and also place side-by-side evidences of how to better the lives of Hivers in terms of value creation.

Today, I'll forward a little analysis made by me, which is subject to correction if necessary by those who have distinguished themselves in coin analysis. As for me, my focus today will be to prove to us that staking Cent tokens on Hive Engine is better than saving HBD on-chain, using myself as an example. Stay tuned as we take the process gradually to achieve our aim.

My experiment came as a follow up to the change in interest on HBD savings from 12% to 20% APR in April by a unanimous decision of the Hive Witness. This paradigm shift brought series of happiness to Hivers who saw this as an opportunity to cash out big just for saving HBD on-chain. I was also amazed by this and decided to try mine to see if I could cash out too.

I was also skeptical about keeping my rewards as liquid when I can use it for Curation and as a lover of cent token, I decided to place then side-by-side to see the end result but after 3 days I realized that one is better and brings more rewards than the other.

Cent Curation Vs HBD Savings On-chain

I'm using 61.334 HBD to analyze the difference between them. The above number of HBD will give you approximately 7,698.8 Cent tokens of which your expected to stake in order to curate and at 100% voting power, 7k Cent tokens will give you about 5 cent and at 80%, it'll curate 3.7 cents. Let's assume that the voter will vote 11 times to reach 80% voting mana. At the end of the day, the cent curator will give at least 37 cents and when divided by 2, it'll be 18.35 cents per day for the curator. And for 3 days, the curator will have about 55.05 cents

On the other hand, using the same 61.334 HBD to transfer into HBD savings on-chain using the current HBD 20% scheme, you'll realize that what this amount of HBD will generate about 0.109 HBD savings in 3 days and if you go further, you'll notice that in a month you'll get about 1.1 HBD. For today we're using a 3 days period to analyze these fact of which is still the same result in a month.

Looking at the comparative analysis between the two variables, you can deduce that the values accrued for 3 days is as follows:
HBD = 0.109 = $0.1429
Cents = 0.55 = $0.45

The difference is clear, but this is not the standard of measuring value accrual model, although it's not far from the mark.

Don't just accept my analysis try to do yours in order to compare better. Remember the higher the amount, the higher the value, so if you want to earn big stake big.

Thanks.

Do you know the legal name of @themarkymark ???? It is needed to contact his local police station. Any information to his whereabouts would be much appreciated.

I love cent. But a more fair comparison would be to take the average CENT price in the last 3 months.

Thanks, I think that's the next analysis I'll look at. From an overall chart cent is doing well and has bounced back from the the dip to a certain degree. To know the future of Cent token, time will tell.

I prefer earnings through curation than passive income through HBD.

Several coins have high interest rates, but the price of HBD is guaranteed against HIVE; so HBD is a smarter bet for people seeking to improve their finances.

CENT has a user who is taking measures to keep the price somewhat pegged to the penny. It has been trading below the penny for the last several days.

So it is probably the best of the alt-coins. However, I feel that pretty much all of the coins on HIVE engine are doomed as long as HIVE maintains the 20% interest rate.

If the CENT patron gives up ont the coin, then CENT will probably join the other alt-coins on HE.
