I decided to recoil this topic to modernized Relationship because of the difference I noticed since the advent of social media platforms. I will share my thoughts on this and perception on whether it has caused harm or done good.
Generally, technology are meant to improve and make man better if properly used. In an event where it's abused, the resultant effect is normally abysmal.
In those days when one is in relationship, one of the formal way to keep consistent communication was through posting of letter either via post office service or an individual which takes longer time before delivery and sometimes disappears along the road. With the introduction of other social media handles, the bridge in communication has been subverted.
Social media reduced the cost and risk of sending letters. More notification can be sent at the same time. It's not time consuming unlike the traditional means.
With the present challenges in relationship especially amongst the youth, I had the privilege to interact with few individual attributed this challenge to the misuse of social media handles. I concord to such assertion. Social media has caused harm to most relationships. Many aren't faithful in maintaining a single relationship again. A guy can date two to three ladies same to the ladies. For those who have distance relationship, they can toast two ladies same time since the partner can't see them. They hide under social media and cook any kind of lies.
Social media makes many enter wrong relationship. I had a cousin that just saw the Display Picture (dp) of a lady with fair complexion. He sent her friend request and she accepted suddenly he built relationship around it. Later he realized that the lady wasn't in the same country with him. To wrap everything, he wasn't sure whether it was human being he was chatting with.
Some use robots to manage their social media platforms. Therefore going into relationship anyhow on such platform could lead to a false relationship.
Social media has caused more harm in many marriages and relationships than good. Most divorce cases are due to infidelity which erupt from social media sometimes when a man visit nude sites and pornographical sites.
I hope the few thoughts I shared could add value.

Social media has completely changed ourselves and most of the people hide their identities on the social media and show more than reality.
A lot happen on social media we all need to be careful when trying to mingle with another. I have seen people loss a lot of money, a friend was about to send someone she has not met before a huge some of money, the God that saved her she came to me for help and I asked her the reason for the money that's when I knew and I talked her out of it.
