Lessons from the Bible Study held on 6th January 2022 via zoom

I joined the the Bible Study via zoom and I learnt a lot from the teaching of bro Eli.

In this video, I shared some of the lessons I learned from the Bible Study. Watch and be blessed

Some of the important points learned from the words of God discussed in the Zoom meeting are:
  • Those that hate God will definitely worship Idols.
  • Worshiping idols is a form of hating God
  • You will not be affected by the sins of you father if you do the right thing in the sight of God.
  • If you did not do the right thing in the sight of God, you will be affected by the sins of your father.
  • The meaning of visiting as used is to give the people opportunity to be saved.
  • His visiting is to give us a chance to repent from all our sins.
  • God's visitation has good implications.
  • Satan cannot touch the people of God.
  • If any evil will fall on the people of God, it is from God and it is punishment.
  • If there is evil that God will do, it is a punishment as a result of sin.
  • There are no contradictions in the word of God.
My former beliefs or expectation that was improved for listening at the Zoom meeting

We use to believed that all evils or everything bad are from the devil. We now know that some things happen to us which are from God as a result of our sins. So we have to always live a holy life.

Ways in which the study affect us that can make us a better person that we can use in our daily lives

We have live our daily lives by doing good things in the sight of God in order not to be affected by the sins of our fathers.

We suggest adding more of our personal reflection on the topic discussed, I can give an example here,

Matthew 28:20 - we have learned that we are to obey the commandment of the Lord and preach the gospel in all nations until the end comes but who are the main people who will preach, it is in the church of God as it is written

1 Peter 2:9 - God's people have the obligation to preach the gospel that is found in the one body. In this way we can always add our personal reflection and understanding, we can avoid mass quoting the whole verses.

We have to apply this to avoid any conflict from other communities. I hope we understand, God help us.
