The unforeseen benefits of "less-cheap" soap and other products

A poor man's post

Living on a tight budget is tough. We can't get the shampoo, detergent and even toilet paper we should get. But most people who think they can't afford it don't understand how they're actually saving when they make slightly more expensive purchases when buying products for their daily lives. I was one of them.

My bathroom sink would clog up all the time because our soap kept breaking in pieces then going down the drain. What am I going to do, ask people how they deal with it? Maybe. Nah. Google ideas? There were none. It's a pain in the ass, really. So I decided to buy this other soap because it was slightly cheaper on sale - I'm never going back. When small pieces break apart, they melt!!@@!!!@!exclamationmark!!

Something I've known for longer has to do with detergent. The brand I've always purchased lasts for a week or so. This other brand lasts for three weeks, but it costs twice as much. Wait, it lasts three times as much, but only doubles in price. Why have I been buying the cheap one again?? Damn it. Worst part is, this much better brand disappeared from stores' shelves. Ugh.

And then comes toilet paper. There is a lot of difference between double rolls from different brands. Some of them are really, really thin, so we have to use a lot more paper to get the job done. In fact, we end up paying twice or three times as much. It's ridiculous. I'm going to buy a "deluxe triple roll" toilet paper soon, which is even more expensive. Do you want to know if it's going to be fruitful? Haha, leave me a comment in this post... I dare you. I triple dare you.

You know is so funny when we think we are trying to save now and forget we are spending more on the long run.

Yes chapters items helps in gaining some savings because we pay less for it while the costly items is twice it as you said. The question we need to ask is?

Do this cheaper product serve perfectly or give comfort to us when using and it's safety purposes.

I will say we think of the benefits to ourselves and forget the fact that we are economizing to save some change when getting a particular thing.

Sometimes, we have to spend more to save more.

Yes, that's one thing people tend to forget.

Sometimes I prefer getting things in bulk to than picking them one by one. In bulk saves me lot of cost.
