RE: Differences in individuals' language as a disinformation tool

It's what I call the "Dictionary of Newspeak"[Orwell reference]. Using changes in vocabulary to drive people towards one ideology or another.

It's pretty common in the US to label every non-right-winger policy as socialist the same way they label every non-left-wing policy as nazi in a pretty dumb polarization.

In my case, for example when arguing with some trans activists on Twitter about gender reassignment procedures for people under 12, I was called a "nazi" and "Bolsonaro worshiper" for believing that children are not able to decide such things until they get older.

This dumb polarization is aimed to force us to have to choose the lesser of two evils, as if our only choices where either Hitler or Stalin. And if you don't support one is because you are in bed with the other.

We have a 2 round electoral system in Brazil specially to prevent this polarization between two opposite parties to happen. That's the reason why I am voting for my best candidate in the 1st round and cast a blank vote in the second if stupidity forces us into a lesser of two evils situation.

yes, casting a vote on whoever we want on the first round is ideal. we're letting them know we think they stand a chance!
