New Year Hopes

2022 was a year I was happy to leave behind. The sudden death of a daughter and an unwanted move from the South to the communist state of Illinois made this a year in which there were many days I just wanted to die and get it over with. But God took me through the fire, not out of the fire. I still miss my church family of 30+ years, but there are some good people living in Illinois and I have made some friends.

I got through the holidays, the hardest part of my year even in good years. Now it is January of a new year and I have exciting things ahead. Here are just a few of the things I am set up to do ASAP:

  1. Got supplies arriving so I can get back to doing bridal alterations in my community.

  2. Growing my skills in sewing machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

  3. Catching up on reading so I will have plenty to write about in the coming year.

I hope you are all starting the year with hope as well.
