Weaving is Fun

Back to childhood with a potholder loom--but this time I got Harrisville's "Pro" loom. It is metal, 10" square, and has pegs that curve outward to help loops stay on the pegs. Downside is that the easily available sock loops are not usually long enough for this loom, but the resulting potholders are a great size and well worth that one inconvenience.

Here is the potholder I was working on before:

Weaving on a small loom is a fun way to play with color combinations before trying them in a larger item like a sweater or blanket.

Next on the loom is a collection of warmer colors:

After this, I plan to experiment with using T-shirt yarn made from old tees and with various yarns from my closet.
