Hello guys,

Today I am going to share with you another battle in @splinterlands.

Battle details:
I played with life splinter. And my opponent used a dragon splinter against me.

It was a battle of total 26 mana with two rules:
Fof of War: Monsters lose the sneak and snipe abilities.
Up Close And Personal: Only monsters with melee attack may be used in battles.

I had my TYRUS PALADIUM level 7, CHAIN GOLEM level 4, FURIOUS CHICKEN level 7, SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT level 1, CAVE SLUG level 7, PARASITIC GROWTH level 6.
And my opponent had his/her cards as SELENIA SKY level 4, HYDRA level 4, FLESH GOLEM level 10, FURIOUS CHICKEN level 3, BROWNIE level 6, FIENDISH HARPY level 6 and DRAGON JUMPER level 2.

Let me talk about monsters that I used in this battle.

~TYRUS PALADIUM. level 7

This life summoner adds +1 Armor to my entire team.

It needs 3 mana.

Market.

I wanted to give my monsters some armor.

~CHAIN GOLEM. level 4

Edition: UNTAMED
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: NEUTRAL
Attack: MELEE
ABILITIES: Shield at level 1,Void at level 2, Piercing at level 3, Stun at level 6.

This is a neutral monster, in this level it has melee attacks (4), Speed (2), Health (8), Armor(4).

It has four abilities at this level which are-
Shield: Reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks.
Void: Reduced damage from magic attacks.
Piercing: If melee or ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's armor, the remainder will damage target's health.
Stun: When a monster with stun hits a targer, it has a chance to stun the target causing it to skip its next turn.

This card needs 8 mana.

Market.

This is a strong tank that is good for both defence and offence.

~FURIOUS CHICKEN. level 7

Edition: REWARD
Rarity: RARE
Element: NEUTRAL
Attack: MELEE

This is a neutral monster, in this level it has melee attacks (1), Speed (2), Health (1).

He needs 0 mana.
Market.

With no sneak attacks I wanted to protect part of my team longer.

~ SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT. level 1

Edition: BETA
Rarity: COMMON
Element: LIFE
Attack: MELEE
ABILITIES: Inspire at level 1, Piercing at level 4, Trample at level 8.

This is a life monster, in this level it has melee attacks (1), Speed (4), Health (5), Armor(1).

It has four abilities at this level which are-
Inspire: Gives all friendly monsters +1 melee attack.
Another ability at level 4 isPiercing: If melee or ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's armor, the remainder will damage target's health.
Trample: When a monster with Trample hits and kills its target, it will perform another attack on the enemy team.

This card needs 6 mana.

Market.

I was hesitant about using this monster because it is only level 1. But in the end I only needed this monster for it's inspire ability.

~CAVE SLUG. level 7

Edition: UNTAMED
Rarity: COMMON
Element: LIFE
Attack: MELEE
ABILITIES: Opportunity at level 1, Scavenger at level6, Slow at level 10.

This is a life monster, in this level it has melee attacks (3), Speed (2), Health (5).

It has two abilities at this level which are-
Opportunity: Monsters with opportunity may attack from aby position and will target enemy monster with the lowest health.
Scavenger: Gains +1 health each time any monster dies.
Another ability at level 10 is Slow: reduces the speed of all enemy monsters.

It needs 5 mana.
Market.

I had to use this monster because it is theme of this week.

~PARASITIC GROWTH. level 6

Edition: UNTAMED
Rarity: COMMON
Element: NEUTRAL
Attack: MELEE
ABILITIES: Opportunity at level 1, Scavenger at level 6.

This is a neutral monster, in this level it has melee attacks (2), Speed (2), Health (3).

It has two abilities at this level which are-
Opportunity: Monsters with opportunity may attack from aby position and will target enemy monster with the lowest health.
Scavenger: Gains +1 health each time any monster dies.

It needs 4 mana.
Market.

With no sneak monsters I decided to use two monsters with opportunity.

On the battlefield.

My opponent had a strong team. I did not like seeing that he also had monsters with opportunity. But my monsters were inspired so I still believed that I will win.

Both teams lost FURIOUS CHICKENS. Now real battle was about to begin.

At this point it seemed that I have the advantage.

Now I was sure that I will win.

The rest of the battle was a formality.

So I won.

In this battle I won 61.541 Dec and 31 League Rating. My strategy worked well-My CHAIN GOLEM was able to stun the enemy and the rest of the team were able to claim victory even when my tank fell.

CAVE SLUG is a cool monster and maybe I will use it more often in the future.

I would like having SAND WORM in this team. But I think that it would cost too much mana...
