Well, it seems they were slammed", but on the other hand if governments don't intervene in the market and let the real estate bubble burst, the same situation occurs as, for example, in 2008 in Spain. That is true. Of course, the government helped to create the situation in China by limiting where investment dollars can go. The Chinese do not have a lot of options like in other countries.

In the US for example, we can buy stocks, bonds, commodities, and a host of other assets. With China, it is basically the Chinese stock market and real estate.
