15 days into my 2023 Resolution - difficult but on track (plus LPUD)

A lot of people will always tell you its easier said than done! That could be true though. Again, many people believe that January is always one of the toughest months of the year as our entire economic life is mostly on a re-start. Again, that could be true. But then, a lot can go right or wrong from the beginning.

It was not too long that many wrote their resolution for the year. I wrote too. My target is to get to 50k LP by the end of December. Well, it has not been so easy for me the first 15 days in January. But I can say, I have been taking small steps daily to get to my goals. Checked against my monthly expectations, I am not behind schedule. I will get to that in bit. But then...

Here are 2 reasons love setting goals

  • Goals give one something to live for: Sometimes you wonder if ones life has any purpose. Actually, some people lead purposeless lives. They wake up to see a new day, they do random stuffs and sleep like others at the end of the day. There is actually nothing at stake for them. So no need to work harder or change methods. No need to ask questions or evaluate reasons behind actions. Because there is nothing at stake. A life of goals is led differently.

When one has goals, it serves as a focal point each and everyday in their lives. They consciously wake up and do specific things with regard to their goals. Each day or hour that passes, I try to do something and stay productive because lost time can never be regained if you are working towards something. So inasmuch as the new year is really not smooth, my goals give me a vision, a target and focal point. Hence, I am not distracted in any way from the things I should do daily. I focus and get stuff done, and at the end of each day, I feel fulfilled because something was accomplished with regard to the big goal.

  • Goals provide basis for self appraisal: So after some time, one should be able to look at where they are, where they were and where they are going. So you can look back and begin to evaluate your rate of progress so far. A goal gives you two important perspectives - where you are and where you want to be. And those are very essential points for evaluating growth or lack of it.

Without goals, growth becomes stunted. In the next 2 or 3 months or even more, I will compare my state of being with what I set out early in 2023. Even now (15 days after the resolution), I see where I am with regard to my resolution. This is another major reason I do resolutions at the beginning of the year.

Now talking about my Leo power goal for 2023, here is a reminder from my Leo Goals post about my target each month:

Note: For each month starting from January, I have tasked myself with the figures above to power up at least 35,000/12 = 2,916 Leo. With that, I will attain the goal by year end - Yes, I want to amass a cumulative 50k LP and become a Leader of the Pack.Source

2,916 Leo every month of 2023

That wont be easy but I know that impossible is nothing. Since today is still 15 days (exactly half of the month), it means I should power or have powered up 1,457 Leo every 15 days (that is 1,916 divided by 2)

Well today is LPUD right, so lets go to my wallet and see if I have up to that and then, I can power it up. Dear friend, I think I have up to that, hurray!!! This is actually no accident, just to let you know I am really working towards my goal consciously - a step at a time.

Here is my LPUD participation for January 15th, 2023

So you can see my wallet. 15th is the half of January and I have half of my January goal ready - 1500 Leo ready to be powered up as seen from my wallet below:

What next?

Next is to get ready to accumulate and power approximately another 1500 Leo on or before 31st January, 2023. Thats not going to be easy. But like I said before, Impossible is nothing.

I will continue to work hard and consciously at my goals. I understand what is involved when I set the goal and I am ready to live up to it.

I also encourage everyone out there who have set goals not to give up, or feel inadequate. It may not be so smooth for you now, but keep on pushing and working hard towards your goals. Even if your goals took a little longer than expected, you are still doing the right things.

Whether you crawl, walk, run or fly, the most important thing there is that you must be in motion. So lets push it - and push it really hard to get to our goals in 2023.

Be visible in Leo threads as that could be another avenue to accumulate more precious Leo for powering up. Engage more. Write quality content more. Remember to rest more - More is actually better, so lets do more!!!!!!
