How to stake UST on Anchor
Walkthrough for staking UST on Anchor in order to earn 20% APY.
Anchor is a savings protocol that offers low-volatility yields on Terra’s UST stablecoin deposits.
This is achieved thanks to a diversified stream of staking rewards from major proof-of-stake blockchains, making it much more stable than money market interest rates.
After previously going over how to buy UST on Cub Finance and Bridge to terra, let’s now move on to how to stake UST on Anchor itself.
This section of our Terra (LUNA) guide walks you through the steps required to quickly and easily earn 20% on staked UST stablecoins.
1. Stake UST on Anchor
Go to the Anchor Protocol web app and click the earn tab.
Click the deposit button.
Key in the amount of UST you want to stake and hit proceed.
2. View your staked UST
On the Anchor earn page, you will now see your staked UST.
You can see the 20% interest rate and flick between your expected daily, weekly, monthly and yearly returns.
Final thoughts on staking UST on Anchor
Earning 20% on stables in this environment is simply unheard of.
Not to mention the fact that thanks to LUNA and UST’s algorithmic stablecoin design, the project is well outside the US regulator’s jurisdiction.
Having now walked through how to stake UST on Anchor, go and check out our full beginners guide to Terra (LUNA) and learn more.
With the project’s Columbus 5 upgrade just around the corner, the Terra (LUNA) ecosystem is set to explode with activity.
Best of probabilities to you.

Thank you for sharing.. 20& is huge for stables.
You're right, 20% on stables is an excellent return.
I'd honestly love to see 20% offered on Hive Backed Dollars just for the publicity it would earn our blockchain.

The hive backed dollars has not been able to keep the dollar mark..
Its stability is questionable
Terra is a project I've recently gotten on board with, I haven't seen your how to bridge guide and I Might head across now and have a read as I'm having some issues getting funds across. Minimum transfer of Terra is 5 which is quite expensive so the UST thing is quite good.
I like the Anchor UST pair offering at current 78% APY and its relatively cheap. I think once Columbus upgrade arrives Anchor could hit $10 per token.
20% on stables is a fantastic offer and I think this will be a great alternative to modern banks. There are other initiatives like Orion Money launching which also provides high yield on stables. I see Terra as a future block chain exceeding $100 - $200
The question is do you take the 5% APY for staking Terra or enjoy its projects that have better investment opportunities.
The fact we can buy UST on Cub Finance is great for us here in the LeoFinance community.
Staking stables offers us an easy 'cash out' (without actually cashing out, if that makes sense haha).
As for the ANC-UST LP, I have to have a deeper look into it myself.
I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on why you think ANC could rally like that.

LINK is pretty informative but I think the greatest offer Anc has is the 80% APY and the ability to participate in governance. Don't forget Anc also has a really sweet feature where you can lend and borrow by wrapping bLuna or Bethereum and loan it out then borrow against it.
I'd also recommend looking at MIR Finance also it is a wonderful project although I haven't invested in it yet but you can use aUST which is Anc stable coin to trade with on MIR protocol to create mAssets
Cheers!
The borrow tab on Anchor is the next rabbit hole I need to go down.
As someone who is relatively risk-averse, it's a little scary...
But the possibilities that it opens up are probably too good to keep ignoring.
Adding Mirror to my notes too haha!

Use earning buy Luna, Wrap as Bluna then borrow UST against and earn interest. I'd set the % low because Terra is up atm so maybe a risk. I think it also pays APY for borrowing.
Great to see new tutorials brought to the crypto space and that 20% APY is sure appealing for many of us. Terra (LUNA) looks as hot as ever so I think the expansion will continue from here and will prove itself.

Honestly, there aren't a lot of simple tutorials like this online.
Integrating Cub Finance into some easy walkthroughs can only help us going forward :)

Simple and well explained. 20% is a great performance in these times.

20% is a great return on stables.
For the publicity that would earn our blockchain alone, I would love to see 20% offered on Hive Backed Dollars.

True 20% would be fantastic for HBD.
Nothing wrong to stake UST ;-)

Yep, staking UST on anchor offers a cool cash out feature to the LeoFinance community.
Nothing wrong indeed :)

Thanks for the tip! 20% is a remarkable APR so I'll definitely look into this! It's also nice to see a real world use case for the Terra blockchain, so this is extra interesting for me.
A real world use case for crypto?
Get outta here! ;)
But yep, 20% that Anchor offers on stables is crazyyy good.
Just adding to this, I'd love to hear the technical pros/cons behind moving the 10% we offer on HBD to 20%.
The organic publicity it would generate for Hive would be immense.

Yeah the difference between 10% and 20% is huge - there are plenty of opportunities to make 10-12% on stable coins, but 20% is something that can’t be ignored. And if we got 20% for HIVE, an non stable coin, that would make headlines!
interesting article! (too late to vote so I tipped)
Will try to explore this option. I am always looking for more places offering good yield for stables (diversification). This one seems great.
Wonder if you heard of Aubit. At the moment they offer 43% APY on USD but you will need to take their platform token FWT (at least 25% of your deposited value)
I have a dozen k with them but still need to find more places in case anything bad happens. So would love to hear more opinions on them. Including this Anchor and Aubit and more...
Cub kingdom is one of my 'places' too...
