Welcome back to another edition of the Saturday Savers club. Please remember everything that follows is an account of my situation and my opinions, and are not financial advice. Today I am happy to report substantial progress towards my end goal for 2022 of:
- 5000 Hive Power, 200,000 SPS, 50 EDSM staked, 100 EDS, and 300 SPI.
Accumulation needed to achieve goal Based on estimate of 30 days/month, 40 weeks for 10 months for 2022:
1. Hive Power--357.8 per month=====89.45 per week===== 11.92 per day
2. SPS--------6,494.5 per month=====1623.625 per week===== 216.48 per day
3. EDSM------- 4.4 per month=====1.1 per week=====0.147 per day
4. EDS----- 9.877 per month=====2.469 per week=====0.329 per day
5. SPI----- 24.717 per month=====6.179 per week=====0.8239 per day
=====Where Did this Journey Begin=====?
- As of March 3rd 2022 when I set my 2022 goals, these were my balances:
Hive Power-- 1,421
SPS--------135,055
EDSM------- 6
EDS----- 1
SPI----- 53
=====HIVE POWER=====
- As of right now I have reached 8272 Hive Power so I have met an exceeded my goal for the year! I gained 11 Hive Power since last week. The current hive price is $0.78 USD per hive. Hive has fallen an additional 7 cents since we last spoke! Wow, this is tempting me to stock up on more hive.
- Since our last update, one old delegation of 500 hp has come back, this was a lower rate than the average for my portfolio so my portfolio yield increased from 13% APR to 13.7% APR this week. No new leases have been issued.
=====SPS=====
- This week I gained a total of 0 staked SPS. I STILL stand 19,000 Staked SPS away from my 2022 goals. The current SPS price is $0.10303 USD or 0.13213765 hive each. SPS is down this week in usd terms and also in hive terms from last weeks prices. The downdraft in general for markets has overpowered the positive upcoming catalysts related to SPS for now.
- Last week I took my SPS airdrop from 211.8 SPS a day to 278 SPS a day. Adding 66.2 SPS a day in income. This week my grown reaccelerated!!

- So this week my airdrop went from 278 SPS a day to 374.5 SPS a day, an increase of 96.5 SPS a day a 50% increase from my growth rate in sps income last week, over the course of 80 airdrop days remaining, this weeks activity increases my total SPS income by 7720 SPS.
- As you can see I have rebuilt my position in the dec/sps liquidity pool. As the position stands, it is currently contributing approximately 88 of my sps airdrop income each day. Most of my income still heads towards earning as much as I can before the airdrop ends, but a recent opportunity took my attention this week. A Hive engine dividend token called DHEDGE but we will discuss later.
=====EDS/EDSM=====
-EDSM miner position unchanged at 100 staked Miners =====2X===== my annual target.
- EDS position has grown by 3.22 EDS this week. Pretty much all mining activity, though I just added a small buy limit order today.
=====SPI=====
- I finally have an update, I acquired 1.52 SPI!! I have an open order to buy more, finally some progress towards this goal.
=====DHEDGE=====
- First off, please imagine I am a bad reporter getting this all wrong and inaccurate, this is just how I observed the events. I invite @taskmanager to clarify anything I may get wrong. From my understanding taskmanager had been taking a break from hive and unreachable since like January I think? But all the scripts and token economies related to Dhedge, a hive dividend token, and the Archon mining tokens for example all continued to work flawlessly in his absence, like the machine he built had a life its own without input needed from the creator.
- Then after a recent hard fork or change, the codes of these scripts stopped working and payouts of this years old dividend token suddenly stopped. People feared the worst and at one point the token was being sold down to 0.001 hive and lower. I saw the opportunity and took it, I had 2300 dhedge at a cost of around $200 usd before this saga. I did the unthinkable and caught the falling knife and got lucky I bought all the way down, suddenly payments for DHEDGE resumed a couple days ago, and the price spiked back up to 0.10 hive. In my opinion, nfa, its still cheap, according to their daily post, they will do buybacks currently up to a 0.18 hive valuation. I currently have about 10% of the total supply. What persuaded you to buy at that price when the codes had not been working and the originator was out of communication? Is there a team behind it?
Just a crazy risk. I had a feeling there was a code change that affected his programs because I was reading a lot somewhat recently about a hive hardfork I believe, an update to the code. I also picked DHEDGE originally amongst other hive dividend tokens because it had been around for such a long time and paid consistently.

The crypto ecosystem has a pretty big future, unfortunately my timing is terrible. In August 2021, I entered Splinterlands, mainly investing above $0.50 and continuing to buy. I am more optimistic about SPS. I currently hold 37,500 SPS. I will learn slowly and admire how well you can persevere on this road.
