Hi darmst,
as of right now, which cards you put in the band member slots is not important. You can choose whatever people card you like and it doesn't have a positive or negative effect :).
I hated band auditions. It took me 20 or so auditions to get all member slots activated and some players even had 40 auditions. It is RNG and you might geht lucky with 10 or so.
I wish you luck and hope to see you at the County Tour.
