Revisiting alienworlds: is it worth playing?

I played alienworlds for a couple of weeks right before and right after it boomed. After that I decided to step away from the game because it simply wasn't fun. So basically, I was using using a gamified faucet. Now, a faucet with the intention of being a game doesn't have to be borin, but it's pretty hard to make it fun. For that reason I started to focus more on Splinterlands and totally forgot about alienworlds.

A couple of days ago I randomly got the thought: "Let's take a look at alienworlds" and that's what I did.

The first thing that I saw was that the UI got updated. A nice improvement, especially the fact that the mine button is always available is a lot better for the user experience.

Sadly enough the next experiences weren't that great. When I wanted to "mine" I got an error message about 50% of the time. The captcha's are gone, which is good because that was also really annoying, but getting error messages all the time for no clear reason is also pretty bad.

Except for this I was hoping I would be able to use my minions somehow, but this didn't seem to be possible. I did see that there was a new feature called "missions". I took a look at how it worked but never really tested it out myself because I didn't feel like putting in the resources and time to try it out.

Lease Spacecrafts to send on missions across the Metaverse. Explore Missions, Discover NFTs.

From a financial point of view I'm also not sold on this game. It seems to take forever before you actually get a single TLM just to find out that this is only around $0.20. I know this changes when you get more invested into the game, but I'm just not feeling at the moment.

What are your thoughts about the game?

I played this for a good while before it boomed and pretty much immediately cashed out. It got me 2000 WAX which has gained some nice value since then. Still holding!

That is awesome, it is also my favorite thing about Hive. So many good stories of people making money rather than losing money :-)

Thanks for the warning. I can understand wanting to make a faucet more appealing but it sounds like a frustrating experience.
I will just stick with Splinterlands as it is just starting to get real interesting :-D
