The job hunt: Alea iacta est

Alea iacta est. So yes a decision is more or less taken. I am waiting on one final confirmation of the company that they will cover my fine due to handing in the company car too soon.

Handing in the company car of course does mean that I will leave the company. I do have my resign letter ready to be sent and this will be done after the confirmation.

It were some crazy past days before the decision. Suddenly a manager from the customer did jump and did want to offer me a job as Business Consultant, with a pretty fine salary. The salary itself was way better than the 2 other offers, but that would mean a decrease in holidays and of course no company car. Don't car so much about the car, but do care about holidays and in that aspect it is just better to work in Belgium.

So I had to decide between the own company but than a transfer to Belgium and another company in Belgium. While financially the offer from the Belgium part of the company was much better than the offer from the other company, I did decided to go for a fresh start.
The risk with the Belgium part of the company is that tax wise, I wouldn't be allowed to work in the Netherlands and would risk an assignment in the capital which is more than 1.5 hours drive.

So I am happy that the decision has been taken. No time to regret now.

Cheers,
Peter

While I indeed did that, it is still a decision with the heart I guess.
Time will tell if it is/was a good one.

Happy to see you thought about this and no decision is easy especially when you have been so loyal to one company for a long time. This is about putting you and your needs first which is always the right reason.
