Strange observation. We already had 4 scoreless draw in the first 16 games of the World Cup 2022. That's 25% of the games which did end in a draw. Last time, we had to wait on day 13 to see a game ending without a goal scored. This was Denmark - France. I do think that lack of preparation time and the fact that the World Cup is held in the middle of the regular competitions has a lot to do with this.
But just like those scoreless draws my betting adventure corresponds with these scoreless draw. 7 bets played and no winners. This could be due to the odds I am playing. The average odds of those bets were 24.58.

Did you also that if you would have predicted all 16 games correct your odds would have been an astonishing 2.212.053!! Of course the loss of Argentine and Germany are a big part of this. Those two upsets alone are good for odds of 111.6.
All correct over and under 2.5 goals would have resulted into odds of: 7023!

Today the second round of the groups will start. This of course does mean that the pressure is on. A loss in the first game can be compensated in the other 2, but back to back losses means elimination.

Pre-round bets!

Well I did doubt to play these, because there are lot of games which could go both ways. So, I will stick to one 5-fold over 2.5 parlay.
Did try to make a acca with only 1X2 games, but the odds I did get where only 4.5, way to low to take the risk.
This also makes it easier to create the daily parlay because there is almost no risk that a same bet will be used twice. Giving me much more freedom!

The Parlay over 2.5 does have odds of 29.627!

Group A

In Group A Senegal and Qatar desperately need 3 points to keep there dream alive. In the other game, Netherlands or Ecuador can secure the qualification for the knock-out stages. I do think that Qatar will still have 0 points after this round but it is harder to predict if the Netherlands or Ecuador can seal the deal. The Netherlands didn't impress me during the first round. Ecuador on the other side did overwhelm Qatar in the first half but decided to stop playing in the second. Maybe the over or both teams to score will be the better bet on this game.

Group B

England did eat Iran alive in their first match scoring 6 goals but also conceiting 2. Wales and the USA both won a half and did draw. Wales now faces Iran, and the question will not if they win but with how much. Strange that the odds for a Wales win are above 2.
England is living on a dream after their first game, but the question here is if this was because of the strength of England or is Iran just too weak to be on the World Cup. Now they will face a tougher test with the states. I do think that England probably will win, but it won't be easy. Also I do expect that the USA will play offensive and maybe even score a goal, so also here the over looks to have more value.
