A Week For the Crypto History Books - My Hive Goals, Week 19, 2022

avatar

What a week we had in the crypto-verse! I don't remember if UST is the first stablecoin to go to the toilet, but it certainly is the biggest to fall, making a splash and dragging the crypto market which was already heading south along with it.

I'm sure most of us were affected to some degree, regardless of our involvement or not in the two now ghost tokens. My portfolio was affected as well, I even restructured some of it this past week.

However, from my Hive goals point of view, this week has been one of the best in recent months (probably since February). Partially that's because some of my restructured funds found their way to the Hive ecosystem.

That being said, let's see what I'm talking about.

HIVE Power and HBD Goals

It's been quite a while since I bought any sizeable amount of HIVE or HBD. Profiting from moving around these funds from some products to others, I used part of them to buy around 220 HIVE and 200 HBD (after fees) which I used to power up and to move to savings, respectively.

I'm at the point where I want to increase my influence on the blockchain at the base layer regardless of other possibilities to earn more HIVE, indirectly.

Regarding HBD, I continue to build it in the savings, and will most likely slowly start building on PolyCub's pHBD-USDC using non-Hive funds.

Here's the situation at the end of this week:

Closing the gap a little bit after these purchases, which is encouraging, but still much to recover.

Splintershards (SPS) Staked Goal

Another 1500 SPS staked this week, same as last week. I think I'm still on schedule to stake 100k SPS by the time the airdrop is over, even though I calculated it at 2k per week, and I have staked less for the past few weeks. But I had a buffer of about 5k SPS to play with. And even if I don't make it until the airdrop is over, I'll be very close and pick up the remaining SPS I'll need from the market.

Actually, I wanted to buy some SPS around the bottom this week, but by the time I decided it started to pump back up and I hold back. Probably a very good opportunity I missed to add up some very cheap SPS.

I admit I haven't thought about DEC this week as a potential purchase, but after dropping below the peg for a short while it certainly became a good buy option.

Maxing Chaos Legion Set*

Still focusing on summoners. Two new maxed summoners this week, which is pretty awesome! The first one is General Sloan, which I maxed towards the beginning of the week. I talk about that more at large in this post.

The other is Quix the Devious, for which I bought the missing cards yesterday, but it's still not upgraded. I waited to make some more rent since I'm not playing anyway.

I wanted to max Tarsa instead, being more expensive for me to do it, but I didn't find the right combination of BCX's at the right prices.

So, I maxed Quix instead. That's a pretty good summoner, great debuffs against Prince Rennyn (debuffs 2 out of 3), Pyre, General Sloan, Selenia Sky, and others, to a lesser degree. And it's a dragon summoner. I didn't max Quix before precisely because I wanted to get the big expenses for summoners out of my way first, not because it wasn't worth it.

Next, if I'll find Tarsa in the right combination of price and BCXs (I need some 70 more BCXs), I'll buy it, if not, I'll move to upgrade monsters first.

After checking, looks like I'm still pretty far from maxing the remaining 2 CL reward cards.

Social Targets

I started the week with 7680 comments and 7914 replies.

And now I am at 7803 comments and 8045 replies (passed 8k this week!). They are both above my targets of 81 comments and 76 replies weekly to reach 10k of each by the year's end, which is good!

Special Mentions

Although LEO is not one of my declared Hive Goals this year, because I didn't want to include every single target I have, this is one token I don't sell (unless inside the Leofinance ecosystem, i.e. CubFinance, PolyCub). Lately, I started to build up my stake of LEO above 2.5k which I had for a long time.

Now instead of moving LEO to CubFinance or PolyCub, I stake it, AND, alongside HIVE and HBD, LEO is the one token that got a significant boost from me this week, now being above 5100 LEO staked.

5 years this has been happening to me, it started here, around people that are still here. Homeland security has done nothing at all, they are not here to protect us. Dont we pay them to stop shit like this? The NSA, CIA, FBI, Police and our Government has done nothing. Just like they did with the Havana Syndrome, nothing. Patriot Act my ass. The American government is completely incompetent. The NSA should be taken over by the military and contained Immediately for investigation. I bet we can get to the sources of V2K and RNM then. https://peakd.com/gangstalking/@acousticpulses/electronic-terrorism-and-gaslighting--if-you-downvote-this-post-you-are-part-of-the-problem

However, from my Hive goals point of view, this week has been one of the best in recent months (probably since February).

It's interesting that I have done the same! I have lost some money in LUNA, and recovered my UST while it was going up and down, but my HIVE stash grew a lot in the last week or two significantly!

Maybe I should've bought more HIVE. But I still think the market will see lower levels before we get out of the bear, even if it could stay for a significant amount of time above 28-29k.

But I still think the market will see lower levels

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you on this... But, I hope that we are wrong about it :)

I'll start buying Hive with HBD when Hive reaches the 20 cents level but that's probably not in the near future

We'll all buy more HIVE at those levels I believe. ;)

Congrats on your achievements. You sure had a very productive week, and great that your Hive and HBD grew exponential. It is a great feeling to have at the end of your weekend.

I just love to read posts where people set up goals and achieve them!
As for HIVE, I unstaked some HBD which unlocked this weekend. Used half of that to buy HIVE just under 0.5, powered up, and now waiting with the rest for that next weeks FED meeting...

and now waiting with the rest for that next weeks FED meeting...

That is probably a good move.

Thanks! Yep, great timing to have a great week for my Hive goals, considering all that was going on.

it's nice to see you focus more on your Hive goals and it's too bad how the overall crypto market fared. The entire LUNA/UST issue seems like a huge mess and I don't even know what will happen because of it.

I think it's still going to produce ripples in the market. There are billions still trapped in UST. Not to mention those who lost on LUNA.

I am interested in seeing where the snapshot for the new fork will be. A lot of people are not going to be happy because it might exclude the people who bought LUNA after the peg broke.

A lot of people are not going to be happy because it might exclude the people who bought LUNA after the peg broke.

That is true. But they assumed the high risk of buying a crashing token on the assumption it will go back up, probably without analyzing deep enough the reasons for the price crash and if a recovery is likely.

The goals are looking good Adrian. It helps that you did not panic, lol

Panicking is the worse thing you can do when things go south. It's better to do nothing at all and leave the computer.

Congrats on your big numbers!

I added 50 SPS, 1,000 DEC, and 1,000 SPT.

Every little bit counts! And at lower leagues, those can be pretty significant amounts. My bronze league account (which I rarely use) doesn't have a total SPS as you added now.

My main account is at Silver III. The other 3 accounts I am monitoring are one Bronze 1 and two Bronze 2. I can't wait to see the changes in the rewards system starting next month.
