Counting Down T-4 Weeks * My Hive Goals (Week 48, 2022)
This is a short sum-up table with the state of my goals in easier TLDR form. The table has only some information, so if you want details, they can be found in the post.

I decided to consider my increased goal for comments made a miss already, to track less information weekly until the year-end. I don't regret increasing the limit for this goal. It showed me where the limit should be for me.
I pushed quite seriously on maxing out the Chaos Legion set this week, to have enough time to decide on the remaining cards for limit consideration, and maxing out all the cards currently considered maxed but missing some BCX.
I only have 2 common cards left to max out other than the ones described above, but there's still plenty of work to be done on this goal to complete it.
Let's see what changed since last week.
HIVE Power (HP) Goal
This week was Hive Power-Up Day and I added about 250 to my HP on HPUD. In total, my HP grew by 274 since last week.
4 weeks left in the year and 156 HP to reach the goal. That shouldn't be a problem, even if I keep some HIVE liquid for the next HPUD.
HBD Goal
I stopped this goal during the year in favor of HIVE Power. Initially, the goal was to reach 5000 HBD in savings by the year-end, starting from almost nothing.
LEO Staked - Completed
My staked LEO goal is COMPLETED!
I didn't stake any more LEO this week. I started saving them for LPUD.
When I don't save for LPUD I use LEO to (re)build a stash of stables that will help with my Hive Goals next year, besides being a buffer for whatever else I'll need in the crypto land.
Splintershards (SPS) Staked Goal - Completed
The SPS staking goal is COMPLETED!
However, the SPS rewards from ranked battles, daily focus and season chests come in a staked form and will keep increasing the stake. Same as the land and TD (nightmare packs) rewards.
Another 1336 staked SPS were added last week this way.
Besides what comes staked from the gameplay, the SPS goes to the diesel pools.
Maxing Chaos Legion Set*
*) or reaching the limit beyond which I consider upgrading a card not profitable
This week I consider maxed out:
- Nerissa Tridawn
- Igor Darkspear
- Temporal Master
- Regal Peryton
- Portal Spinner
- Time Mage.
I also decided to keep Mycelic Slipspawn limited to level 7/8 (85 BCX), Tusk the Wide limited to level 4/6 (20 BCX), and Gargoya Scrapper limited to level 7/10 (150 BCX).
I'm still opening packs as I earn more alchemy and legendary potions.
I believe by next week's update I'll have all cards in the CL set in one of these categories:
- maxed out
- having all BCX but not maxed out yet
- having reached the limit I decided upon
- considered maxed out but missing some BCX (will in many cases require additional purchases) - these are all one level below max level + in most cases some additional cards rented out
- still under limit consideration

Social Targets
The initial (10k) goal for comments made was COMPLETED.
Increased target: 10k->12k comments by the year-end.
The increased goal for comments made is 'considered MISSED'.
The 10K target for replies is COMPLETED and I won't increase it.
The comment made goal will resume next year with a refreshed target.

Congratulations on the progress so far! I have spread myself too thin in the Cards. I have only two Max Level Summoners (the two Promo Cards that were sold at Max Level). I think I only have one Max Level Monster. I spend most of my time in Gold League.

It's been a long goal of mine to max out an entire edition (mostly). Previously, I also left my cards un-maxed, often combined up to mid-levels. But I noticed I wouldn't go anywhere like that. Usually, when I met someone with a better-upgraded collection and a skilled player as well, I lost.
About spreading yourself too thin, I know someone who started to consolidate his collection. Sold his older cards he considered he had no chance upgrading and upgraded the cards he needed, both older and newer.
The state of my spread too thin collection is due to opening Packs instead of directly purchasing the Cards I need. I have been collecting some funds, but it is difficult to focus on buying more Cards from market when there is already sales coming from @splinterlands

The idea is to keep your focus. Apart from 20 tower defense packs, I haven't bought anything they put out for sale in the second part of the year. My focus was maxing out the CL set, not buying into everything.
About buying packs and being spread because of that, I believe one needs to buy way too many packs to be guaranteed to max out by opening the packs alone. The leftovers can be rented out, however, so they produce an income in the long term too.
This is something that has been working out greatly for me. The airdrops from Pack purchases have been also been a good perk. As for focus, it is difficult when the offerings are so good. I still ended up not investing in Runi despite wanting to because I wanted to focus on other sales. Bear markets are good times to buy Cards from the market. I will eventually be spending my DEC there. For the time being I'm looking into CLP.
