HIVE Power Up Day * Sold Airdropped Luna for HIVE

It's the first of the month, which means it's HIVE Power Up Day.

I've done my part and powered up some HIVE, but this time around one zero less, only 100 HIVE.

It would have been very difficult to power up another 1000 HIVE this month too, with all the things I have going. Congrats to those who kept the streak going, and really, to anyone who participates, no matter how small their power-up is.

As for me, I hope next month I'll be able to power up 1000 HIVE again, but I won't make any promises.

Sold Airdropped Luna for HIVE

On the 1st of the month, I also check my crypto holdings more thoroughly. Today, I was surprised to find some funds on the Luna chain from the Cosmos ecosystem.

Wait, didn't Terra Luna collapse last year? Yes, it did. Everybody knows that. What maybe not everybody knows is that they are trying to revive the chain without stablecoins, and call it Terra (2.0). The old chain still works (sort of) and it's called Terra Classic. Here are some details, especially for those who want to check if they have some airdrops to sell or whatever.

To be honest, I believe they are trying to revive a corpse. It will be very difficult to escape the association with the disaster that UST provoked.

But I don't really care what happens to that chain. To either of them.

The minute I saw that LUNA held some value, I wanted to sell it for something else. At first look, the situation wasn't good, as that chain didn't have IBC activated, so there was no direct route to other Cosmos chains.

When I was about to move on, I had the idea to check for markets on coingecko or CMC. That was a good idea because the new LUNA is listed on Binance (for example). That's what I used to exchange it to HIVE via USDT.

There is still some of that LUNA in the unstaking process (I believe the airdrop was 1/3 liquid and 2/3 staked), and I will likely remember to sell that next month when I'll check my crypto holdings again.

If you had UST or LUNA around the collapse either on the Terra chain or on Cosmos, you would have likely received this airdrop. It doesn't cover the loss, but it's better than nothing.

Depends on the account and the goals. For me, it's a small amount, but I want to improve my chances to power up 1000 HIVE next month.

Yes, it's not easy to power up 1000 HIVE every month. Imagine, at some point HIVE will be 1$, maybe 2$, etc. Those months will become a clear 'no' to powering up large amounts for me.

I didn't have any LUNA but nice job making back some of your losses from LUNA and turning them into Hive. I would have done the same.

I didn't have any Luna either (as far as I remember). I had some UST in a pool on Osmosis with OSMO, because it was the only big stablecoin in the Cosmos ecosystem.

Yeah, I always check all the blockchains I have added to Keplr when I do this monthly check of my crypto holdings. I could receive an airdrop I forgot or never knew about. And looks like the extra few minutes I spend doing that weren't wasted this month.
