thank you for this, internal validation is what matters, our lives matter the most. So many times I have made haste without adequate knowledge about some things and made huge losses. Nowadays I take everything slow and steady.
All these proverbs do scratch my nerves at times, two adages contradicting each other.
I wish everyone can listen to this, it is so educative. The world is in this crazy competition, everybody wants to be at the top but very little people are ready to help others reach the top.

Yes, they have a way of contradicting themselves which means they're flawed to some particular extent. We cannot pay complete relevance to some of these adages and proverb as the world is changing and knowledge isn't forever relevant. We need new knowledge to validate or knockoff as well as translate to a different type of learning too.
You're welcome, one thing about life is that we cannot completely outrun our essences. We're beings that thrive on details to become achievers. This is why it's important to pay attention to details in life. Laying emphasis on the life's rat race as a reason for our haste is absolutely crazy.
