En Venezuela es muy popular la gaita en época decembrina, particularmente está canción me gusta mucho y es tradición escucharla en la radio durante todo el mes, me gusta porque me recuerda a la unión familiar que representa la navidad para los venezolanos, nos cuesta mucho estar lejos de nuestros seres queridos en estás fechas, tal vez no los veamos en todo el año, pero se hace hasta lo imposible para estar con los nuestros el 24 y 31 de diciembre, se recuerdan los tiempos pasados con alegría y nostalgia, además de celebrar la vida.

In Venezuela the gaita is very popular during the Christmas season, I particularly like this song and it is a tradition to listen to it on the radio during the whole month, I like it because it reminds me of the family union that Christmas represents for Venezuelans, it is very hard for us to be away from our loved ones on these dates, we may not see them all year long, but we do the impossible to be with our loved ones on December 24 and 31, we remember the past times with joy and nostalgia, besides celebrating life.

Aunque la canción no habla específicamente de la navidad y el mes de diciembre, desde pequeña siempre asocie está canción con los recuerdos y reencuentros que siempre se viven en estás fechas, sea con personas o lugares que nos conectan con nuestras raíces.

Although the song does not specifically talk about Christmas and the month of December, since I was a child I have always associated this song with the memories and reunions that are always experienced on these dates, either with people or places that connect us with our roots.

Esta canción me representa, soy una persona muy sentimental y cada 31 de diciembre, cuando se acerca la hora de decirle adiós al año viejo, mi emoción, triste y nostalgia se juntan para hacerme soltar una que otra lágrima, y aunque se ve un poco tonto se que a muchos les pasa eso en estás fechas, a mi siempre me pasa y antes hacía hasta lo imposible para no llorar, pero ya no me importa porque muchas veces lloro de felicidad y gratitud por haber estado un año más rodeada de mi familia.

This song represents me, I am a very sentimental person and every December 31, when it is time to say goodbye to the old year, my emotion, sadness and nostalgia come together to make me shed a tear or two, and although it looks a little silly I know that happens to many on these dates, it always happens to me and before I did the impossible to not cry, but I do not care because many times I cry of happiness and gratitude for having been one more year surrounded by my family.

Sin embargo, existen otras canciones que hacen nudos en la garganta, que al escucharlas solo podemos recordar a esas personas que ya no están con nosotros, pero está canción es alegría para mi.
