Hello Everyone,

Movies and TV Shows are an integral part of the life for everyone and it's very rare that we find someone who doesn't watch TV or movies, whether it's news or sports or cartoons or serials or anything else, everyone will be interested to watch something and we don't have to tell much about movies.

I am writing this blog as part of @OCD's initiative of Community Incubation program to highlight about a Hive community every week and encourage Hive bloggers to write on that selected community with a theme that particular community is for.

Here is the link to the @OCD's blog for more information about this contest.

@OCD, as we know is at forefront of supporting the Hive communities by supporting the content written on various communities and these contests are a nice way to encourage even more and more people to visit the communities and be part of those.

I am happy to know about the community of Movies & TV Shows and also to take part in this contest and share some of my favorite movies as part of this blog.

As part of the rules, I would like to answer below question before I move on to mention about the movies I like the most:

What is your favorite genre and why? Cite specific examples of movies that you liked the most in that particular genre.

Well, I like Drama, Action and Romance genre the most and I have selected movies One each from these genres as mentioned below:

Cast Away:

There are Hundreds of movies are there in Drama genre and I chose this one as my favorite because I literally cried while watching this movie looking at the struggle Chuck Noland aka Tom Hanks goes thru for over 4 years without proper food, clothes, enjoyment and everything else and still shows there is hope at the end.

It's an inspiring one for anyone who watches it to NOT to loose hope as the word Impossible itself has I am Possible in it and who else other than Tom Hanks would have made it look so natural? Isn't it?

Personally, Tom Hanks is my favorite actor not just for Cast Away but also for movies like Saving Private Ryan, Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code, Forrest Gump to name a few and each of those are like epics.

Saving Private Ryan:

Not sure whether I should call this movie belonging to action genre or war genre as this involves both with Tom Hanks giving another fitting performance with all others chipping in with their role to save the Ryan.

This is another movie which keeps reminding me to not to loose hope whenever I am in a struggle and I just try to be positive thanks to such movies I watched.

Nothing special we need to mention about the Director Steven Spielberg as he has proved thru his movies and Tom Hanks is simply superb to keep his calm even during most frustrating moments and inspires his troop no matter what is happening to him (the incident of him unable to fire at a tank).

This has to be one of the best movies I ever watched with the movie getting literally every award in Best Picture category except for the Academy Award which is like a black mark to the Academy Award for not hugging the movie Saving Private Ryan as many have criticized.

The last one I like to share is the epic Love story* of Jack Dawson** and Rose Bukater who, inspite of the gap between financial status between them, show to the World that love doesn't need someone to be rich while leading to the wreckage of the ship as it hits the icebergs due to the people ignoring their primary work to watch the love between those 2 awesome lovers and leading to death of Thousands of people.

The movie showcased why Leonardo Di Caprio is an awesome actor is and nothing needs to be mentioned about Cate Winslet as she had already proved how good she is as an actress before even the Titanic movie was released.

Hats off to the imagination of Director James Cameron and 11 Academy Awards to the movie is a fitting reply to his brilliance in that movie as a Director.

Overall, Titanic is the movie every lover wants to watch I think.

3 great films and hard to beat.

Two of those were when Tom Hanks was on a helluva run during the 1990s. He also had Forrest Gump in there.

Some just get on a roll at times.

Cast Away is my favorite too for the superb acting by Tom Hanks. His expressions and his natural acting are the highlight in that movie.
