Saying “I'm Sorry " Doesn't Cost Anything

Hello friends, welcome to a new week. I pray this week is one of the best weeks of this month.
A new week with amazing topics of different editions of the @hivelearners community. I'm glad to be participating in the edition 1 of week 53 contest.

I remember when I was in nursery school and they taught us about the 5 magic words. Please, sorry, thank you, pardon me and excuse me. We grew with that mentality to always use this word often. Just these 5 letters SORRY have destroyed a lot of relationships, friendships and even marriages just because one person refuses to overlook everything and apologize. The major thing that can make a person refuse to say sorry is pride. Yeah! You may be right but if you really value a friendship you can even be the one to say sorry when they wrong you just to let the friendship continue and later maybe another day explain to that person what he or she did was wrong and you didn't do it. I have done that so many times.

For me, saying sorry is just so easy. I may be sorry because I know it won't remove anything from me. Sometimes when I even say sorry it makes the other person feel so bad that he or she comes back apologizing. I love my peace of mind very much and I don't want to be in trouble with anyone. If I notice you're the kind of person who doesn't like correcting your mistakes even after I tell you, I let you be.

I grew up in a family where my mum will always want us to say sorry to each other. Even when I was a child, my mother would flog me and still expect me to tell her sorry 😂😂. It was painful tho but i had to say it to avoid another stroke of cane. Then i thought she hated me and maybe wasn't my real mother but now i understand better why she did all those things. It makes it very easy to apologize and even forgive.

I realized that saying sorry even when you're right doesn't make you weak or look foolish, it just makes you more mature.
If you're wrong, sorry makes you acknowledge that you are wrong. First, you have to rethink and realize that you are wrong.
Sorry also has a way of getting the person you offended heart weak. When you say sorry the person gets angry.

Saying Sorry shows you are human and you have affection and feelings towards someone. It's not good to be too hardern not to say sorry knowing fully well you are wrong just because you want to hurt the other person.
Sorry to rebuild trust. When we apologize we tend to rebuild trust back in any relationship and no relationship or friendship can work without trust.

As far as we are living people will always wrong you but the ability to forgive it where it is hard. If you're the kind of person that says Sorry might be hard, I really hope you change and do better.
