In our current world, today cloud services are widely used for professional needs or personal needs. In business, one of the challenges facing an organization is the hacking of its cloud platforms to steal useful and sensitive data or information.
Such attacks harm their victims as many organisations have reported a lot of financial losses as a result of that.

Examples of cloud attacks are malware injection attacks, wrapping attacks and one good countermeasure to these attacks is to define stringent security policies and also to apply advanced security technologies.
These countermeasures and preventive measures can be referred to as Cloud security.

Cloud security is the art of keeping the application, infrastructure, data and other cloud-based systems safe and secure from attack.

One of the popular cloud hacking that occurred is the iCloud hack in the year 2014 where photos of celebrities were compromised and that affect the reputations of almost 100 top Stars or you can be called A-list Stars.

CAM4 in march 2020 also witnessed a cloud attack where their database was compromised leading to the leakage of database information such as payment logs, IP addresses, username, location details and more that amount to 7TB data.

In December 2019, one of Microsoft cloud databases were also breached which results in the leakage of 250million entries such as support case details, email addresses, and IP addresses.

It is very necessary to put in place good security measures. Another instance is, from 2020 to the time this post is being published, it is reported that more than 66,000 valid vulnerabilities have been detected by ethical hackers through HackerOne

If the attackers are working day in day out to come up with need software or patches that can aid them in carryout their criminal act them constant security updates is very necessary if an individual or organization will be able to withstand this threat.
