I was reading articles around - what is Maya Protocol? And what is it when we say Maya's Fair Launch. First lets understand about Maya which is a decentralized liquidity protocol for exchanging assets across blockchains; something similar to what ThorChain does and hence in some sorts Maya is a fork of ThorChain. It would be right to say that ThorChain and Maya Protocol go hand-in-hand striving to provide its users/traders with a self-custodial, permissionless, and decentralized exchange. Maya for $RUNE Owners - HODLers...

Do you HOLD $RUNE or have locked $RUNE as symmetrical/asymmetrical LP position you qualify for Maya Airdrop. Here are some of the eliglibity associated to Maya Airdrop::

1. Holding $RUNE bonded in a Node,
2. Holding $RUNE locked in a symmetrical LP position,
3. Holding $RUNE asymmetrical LP position,
4. Holding $RUNE in a wallet and/or,
5. Holding $RUNE in Maya pools during the auction.

Holding 1 and 2 will give a 4x boost. And whereas holding 3 and 4 will have a 2x boost. Finally the holding 5 has a 1x boost.

Daily snapshots of $RUNE distribution on THORChain will be taken every day at random for 42 days, starting right before the Liquidity Auction and running through 21 days after the end of the Liquidity Auction.

First snapshot for $RUNE Holding was taken on March 6th. 2023 and the 42nd snapshot; which is the last snapshot will taken on Aril 17th,2023. Currently, we have the Liquidity Auction going which started on March 07 and will last for a21 days i.e. on March 27, 2023 Anyone can take part in the Liquidity Auction and can get a share of $CACAO tokens after adding liquidity to the protocol; the more liquidity added, the more $CACAO received. A bit on $CACAO which is the native coin for the Maya and only 100 Million $CACAO tokens will be minted on March 28th;2023.

$CACAO is Maya's native token; it powers the ecosystem with multiple functionalities. There will only exist 100M of them, and our Liquidity Auction will be a golden opportunity for anyone who wants to participate in the project.

Entering Liquidity Auction with BTC

Yes, I took that risk and decided to enter the Liquidity Auction with $BTC. I had been HODLing $RUNE for quite a long time and I said to myself that I wont touch these funds but then just decided to invest all the $RUNE to Maya. Leveraged the THORWallet DEX Web App for entering the Liquidity Auction as this is the simplest way of doing it at the moment. I am not sure if this decision of my is in the right direction or not. But after reading through a lot of material and getting to know about Maya. I thought that I should take this risk in investing in the liquidity auction and see how it plays out in near future. Hopefully things would be good here as well as we all want to have more of decentralized exchanges. Seeing CEX collapse we are only left to supporting DEX and see more them growing in near future... cheers
