Why is Splinterlands Governance token SPS up today? And my Strategy with SPS...

The Crypto market is in Red today overall. But we see the Number 1 Blockchain game Splinterlands governance token SPS is on rise. As of writing this article its up 18% and is trading for $0.12+ cents.

Splinterlands team recently came out, with this news on the SPS Validator. - check to know more about it Here - Splintershards (SPS) Validator Node Overview & License Presale. The news is overall positive as this brings in more utility for the SPS token in general and also it has the SPS token burn mechanics added to it.

The SPS validator node licenses will be purchasable with a combination of SPS tokens and VOUCHER tokens based on the pricing schedule outlined below. 80% of the SPS tokens and 100% of the VOUCHER tokens spent on node licenses will be burned..

Do read the line where it says all the purchases for the SPS validator node licenses proceeds in SPS would be burned. SPS was lacking this and now with this news having some sink/mechanics to able to burn the token adds in value and as a result we see a immediate pump to the price of SPS token in general.

To date, I have been staking all my SPS tokens. And as seen from the above image I have close to 104K+ SPS staked that is getting me sweet 25% APR. All this SPS is not gained via the Airdrop but I did buy in major chunk of SPS as well, when the opportunity was there.

At the same time, I have been providing liquidity on BeeSwap for SPS-PKM token and that is further helping me to build a strong position to acquire more SPS tokens - while they are really cheap at the moment. The liquidity provided is close to $4.5K+ and my share in the pool is close to 1%; which is getting me $10 worth of rewards daily. I am converting all these rewards to SPS and staking them in the game to get 25% APR...

So What's my Strategy with SPS...

I'll be very honest here. As seen from the above image the first Presale of license for SPS validator quantity is just 2K. Therefore for folks like me it is going to be very difficult to buy the license during the Presale period. As whales would be jumping in to enter.. And I am kinda no one to compete here with whales and need to form a different strategy here.

Hence the plan is to take advantage of the pump in the price of Voucher tokens at least and buy cards from the market so that I can enhance my collection power; which currently is at 2+ Mil. What will happen in result is that I would be getting more SPS tokens Airdropped.

So if you are a person like me or in a similar position that I HODL. It would make sense to make the best use of the spike in VOUCHER tokens and formulate your strategy accordingly. It could be buying cards or it may be something else. But, one thing that I can assure you is that its gonna be difficult to buy in the SPS validator license during the Pre-Sale period.
