I am a doctor. I am getting a monthly salary. Besides, I am getting daily reminders from the illness or suffering of my patients. They remind me how blessed I am! Their stories increase my gratefulness/gratitude to my Creator!

Reminder 01

Today morning one 22-year-old Indian guy came with severe pain in his left flank. The pain started in the early morning. He had a history of renal stones. Today's pain pattern was also suggestive of left ureteric stones. I started injectable painkillers and fluid. A urine microscopic test was done and it revealed the passage of blood in the urine. Unfortunately, when he left my clinic, he was still having pain!

Reminder 02

Another cut injury patient came today morning. He was a Bangladeshi worker, working in the grocery store. He somehow got an injury on his forehead. When I examined him, I found a cut injury, around 10 cm long on the left side of his forehead, just above the left eyebrows. I closed the wound by stitching it up.

Reminder 03

One 27-year-old Omani patient came to me. He was having a crepe bandage on his left wrist and hand. His complaint was the pain in the multiple body sites. What happened to him? He was in a serious car accident around 2 weeks before. Lucky him, he is alive. His car was totally crashed. But, none of his bones were broken. There was a cut on his tongue which was stitched. But, he was having pain in almost all of his body due to the impact. He came for some painkillers and I gave him, along with sick leave.

Alhamdulillah. I haven't got such a cut injury where stitches were required.

Alhamdulillah. I have never fallen in a car accident.

May Allah protect me from such kind of pain, sufferings and illnesses. Ameen.
