ALL ABOUT TODAYS CHILD DEDICATION

Hello friends, happy Sunday to you all, and I hope todays service was great? Today happens to be an amazing Sunday for me and a great one indeed. I had a great time at church because today was the child dedication of my own beloved brother which gave back to a baby girl some weeks back now.

According to the christian doctrine, after the stay of 41 days at home without the baby going out, the baby will be brought to church on a Sunday which is the 41day of the baby and the baby will be sanctified and the mother also will undergo some spiritual cleansing depend on the church doctrine.

Todays dedication, was done at the church of the father which gave birth to the father of the child. It was a precise one and gift was given to the mother of the child for those that were unable to attend the naming ceremony.
At 1st when I got to church I was surprised at the way people were staring at me. So, I wondered what was wrong for making them stare at me like that. At the long run, I notice the reason then burst into laugher because it was really funny to me.

The reason was because they thought I was the father of the child because most of them never nlknew I had a brother so them seeing me wearing almost the same colour of dress with the mother of the child makes them think otherwise which I didn't care about when I knew it.

Actually, it is not a bad thing to do but never seem to understand why they seem so amazing. Maybe they were thinking I was too small or too big I don't know. I guess its funny right? That is how it feels to me also. But at all, we did the dedication and came back home. I had a new dress and I hope i look good in it?
