When we are talking about the Nigerian national anthem it is a very crucial thing in the country because it symbolizes the nations dignity any where in the world and also talking about the national symbol, it is possible easy to say the national symbol of Nigeria is the national flag because it represents Nigeria and it states all the good deeds Nigeria is embedded with or what it stands for.
The national anthem is of two types which it is in two stanza 1 and 2.

Now I will state the national anthem for us all to know and also the national pledge which is the oath you are to recite as a good and a real citizen of the country.

NATIONAL ANTHEM
Stanza 1;
Arise O compatriots
Nigeria's call obey
To serve our fatherland
With love and strength and faith
The labour of our heroes past
Shall never be in vain
To serve with heart and might
One nation bound in freedom
Peace and unity

Stanza 2;
O God of creation
Direct our noble course
Guide our leaders right
Help our youth the truth to know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true
Great lofty height attain
To build a nation where peace
And Justice shall reign.

Here are the two national anthem Nigeria has that symbolize them as a citizen of their country. When it is recited anywhere, you will know it belong to the Nigerians for those who know that.

Before Nigeria got her independence, it has been using the British flags which was know as "Union Jack". The Nigerian flag has a rectangular shape with two colours which are the green and the white. But the flag was divided into three equal part, the green, the white and the green which each colours of the flag stands for one thing or the other.

The green colour stands for the green field and the forests in Nigeria. The white stands for unity and peace in the country. The Nigeria flag was designed by by a Nigerian student which his name is , Micheal taiwo akikunmi. The flag was designed in the year 1959and it was brought into Nigeria on the first day of the independence ceremony. Every where you go or you might get to around the world the flag symbolizes the country which you belong to once anyone sees the Nigerian flag which is the green white and green they will know for sure you are a Nigerian citizen.

THE NIGERIA COAT OF ARM

The Nigeria coat of arm comprises of many things in it which I will be listing now.

  1. The Shield: This is the black part of the logo and it represents a good and fertile soil of the country.
  2. The silver wavy bands, it represents the river Niger and the river Benue and the conference of the both of them.
  3. The two horses represents the strength the country has.
  4. The grass which represents the wild flowering parts of the country.
  5. The wreath, which represents the national colours of the green and white.
  6. Finally, the eagle, which stands for the dignity of Nigeria.

I thinks with this, it should at least bring back some memories of the country Nigeria to us all.
Thanks for your time spent to check out my article today, God bless and have a fun filled day and weekend ahead..
