The problem is the social media in general, NOT only Twitter

Elon Musk, the new Twitter owner was thinking of solving our global problem on free speech by purchasing Twitter but he is failing to do it, why? because another company owned is not a safe haven against government scrutiny.

No one is above the law, we can say that the platform is censorship-resistant if we can put in a test, just imagine if one day a police officer knock on your door and pointed you a gun and telling you to shutdown your free speech platform, what can you do?

Will not shut it down is not equal to cannot shut it down.

On Hive, even if you shutdown the big players by hunting down, no one can censor you because of its decentralised aspect of the blockchain network.

My personal approach on this tweet, I haven't mentioned Hive in the tweet but hoping that he will look on my Twitter bio that I mentioned Hive, well the real Hive for free speech.

I discovered Hive back in 2017 when I was doing my research. My goal on Hive is I want to use the stake power up to be able to help the community. I prayed to God to help me to be able to become a cheerful giver to anyone who is lacking like food, medicine, and livelihood. Hope you can follow my journey

Thank you for the write-up! 😊

Indeed social media in general has numerous problems in terms of its ultimate capability to maintain free speech and minimal outside control. The problems also extend far beyond this; the propagation of misinformation, as well as who decides upon what constitutes misinformation, is a tremendous issue which might not even be solved on a decentralized platform such as Hive.

I do believe that Hive gives the opportunity for further assessment of misinformation, and I like that there is a lack of a central entity to completely suppress content as it comes in. As we've seen happen, sometimes what is considered misinformation now turns out to be quite accurate upon future reassessment.

Indeed Hive is the best bet we have so far. I know some other guys who have arguments on Hive but we have no choice because I think is the closest possible solution to the legacy social media problem.
