JustOneThing: Thoughts on Building my Listnerds Position

Just over two weeks ago I upgraded my Listnerds account to Enterprise, the highest upgrade that Listnerd offers. In this post I shall expose my thoughts about what I am aiming to achieve as an Enterprise level subscriber.

My First 2 Weeks As An Enterprise Subscriber

When you upgrade to Enterprise you can instantly cover your costs by sending out a free Solo Ad, which will automatically qualify for a share of the day's LISNTERDS rewards pool.

After that, every verified mail can be counted as a profit on your investment at the current rate of rewards and market value of LISTNERDS.

In the screenshot, below, you can see that I sent a solo ad on May 3rd, and was rewarded 97.468 LISTNERD tokens for my effort. Even if LISTNERDS had dropped to $1 a token, I'd still have covered the cost of my first month's subscription.

Since then, I have managed to post one or two mails a day and another solo ad, and so far all of my posts since upgrading have been verified. I think that is because I am using my 2-per-day mails to direct people to my Peakd blog posts, or to other people's Peakd blog posts.

I think a good approach to mailing at the Enterprise level is to use your regular mails to offer members a good quality blog post on the Hive blockchain to read.

If you want to promote your business, don't push programs, instead, use your solo ads to invite people to join your mailing list, but explain as clearly as you can what the value or purpose of joining your list is.

After seven days of mailing out on Listnerds, your rewards will start to flow in. Here's what I earned in LISTNERDS rewards yesterday, the first day my verified mail rewards appeared since I upgraded:

Not too bad, eh!

Okay, so now allow me to fully expose my strategy as an Enterprise subscriber of Listnerds going forward...

My Listnerds Strategy

(1) I want to earn 100 LISTNERDS tokens a day “passively” from my staked tokens. Based on my current daily passive earnings, I estimate that I’ll need to have 5,000 LISTNERDS tokens staked to hit that target at the present rate of reward generation.

(2) I want to earn at least 500 LISTNERDS per week from my Listnerds mail promotions for as long as the current rate of rewards continues. That, of course, depends on a combination of sending Solo Mails and earning enough upvotes on my regular mails to qualify for a share of the daily rewards.

As far as earning enough upvotes goes, it appears that active Listnerds members are most likely to upvote good quality blog content that has been published on the Hive blockchain. That is one motivation for my #justonething daily blogging project; I aim to provide content that Listnerds members will appreciate and upvote.

My aim is to earn a total of 5,000 LISTNERDS per month at current rates. (100 tokens x 30 days) + (500 tokens x 4 weeks).

(3) Once I have staked 5,000 LISTNERDS tokensI will begin to apply the “Bradley Strategy” of unstaking a percentage of my daily LISTNERDS earnings so that, ten weeks down the line, I will start to receive a daily supply of liquid LISTNERDS. I’m talking about unstaking between 10% and 50% (max) of daily earnings per day.

(4) I will continue to stake the rest of my LISTNERDS to keep on growing my LISTNERDS holdings.

(5) I know the LISTNERDS owners @blainjones @jongolson and @elianaicgomes are determined to maintain the value of the token. One way I think we can help is by continuing to stake LISTNERDS tokens (which also helps us as the more we stake, the more we earn).

Another way we can help maintain demaind for the token, I think, is by referring more members into Listnerds.com and showing them how it works. Those new members who "get it" will also want to accumulate and stake LISTNERDS.

To that end, I will have to adjust my own Internet marketing strategy to put Listnerds.com to the forefront of my marketing strategy. (That is most likely a project for the summer months…)

A Couple of Questions

  1. What will happen to the daily rewards when the last of the 20,000,000 LISTNERDS tokens has been issued?

  2. In how many years’ time is that likely to happen? I mean, is it even something we need to concern ourselves with? Or will the 20,000,000 tokens be issued in the next couple of years?

Actually, if you do the maths you could work it out. Right now it's too late at night for me to bother, but here's the inflation schedule according to the white paper:

Inflation Schedule of LISTNERDS Rewards Pool

  • 5% of staked LISTNERDS issued daily until 2,000,000 tokens issued
  • 4% of staked LISTNERDS until 6,000,000 tokens isued
  • 3% of staked LISTNERDS until 8,000,000 tokens issued
  • 2% of staked LISTNERDS until 10,000,000 tokens issued
  • 1% of staked LISTNERDS until 12,000,000 tokens issued
  • 0.5% of staked LISTNERDS until depleted.

And here is the Listnerds white paper: https://listnerds.com/whitepaper/

Cheers!

David Hurley

You are so right with this assertion! I love upvoting quality content on our blockchain, and through Listnerds I have been directed to so many great content creators on Hive that I didn't know existed. It is such a wonderful thing, I went Enterprise two days after I joined Listnerds and haven't looked back! So thankful it exists!

And I really enjoyed reading your strategy! Thanks for sharing!

That sounds really good, David. We will have to see how it all pans out.
And why didn't you just wake up someone from the math department to run your numbers?😀

I always upvote good content. Right now I am struggling with whether to consider Actifit reports with nothing added and posts that just send me to someone else post as good content. I am not going to downvote them, I just don't vote either way for them. Thanks for sharing.

(Edited)

I think a fair approach here would be only redirecting people who are aware you're doing it. I, for example, have only directed people toward others I consider in my inner circle.

The reason I believe this is a good thing is that it expands everyone's reach on Hive. Members of ListNerds have an opportunity to engage with someone they might not have found otherwise, and those they're being directed to also get extra exposure.

I've noticed some seem to direct toward more random people's posts, and here I agree with you 100%.

So if someone wants to implement this strategy, I believe the key factor needs to be to get 'permission' first, then mention that in the email.

This is a good practicable strategy, that can easily be implemented by an enterprise subscriber and it looks good and achievable.

Looks like a plan! I hope you manage to do so!
And yes, Listnerds is a great way to find quality content.
It's great to see how the platform is evolving, and that I find
content now that I probably would have never seen otherwise.
I believe you've done quite well in these few weeks!
I'm really looking forward to see how we are all doing in another 6 months.

i like this your break down, and it seems i will use it too when i get to 5000 staked listnerd, still growing my stakes as well, hopefully before the month end, i should get to 4000 listnerd... congrats on subbing for enterprise!

Interesting! I wasn't aware of the inflation schedule. Anywhere on the site we can see where are we with the LISTNERDS issued already?
