Irony Of Goods And Services In Nigeria 🇳🇬

The rate goods and services are on the increase is getting so alarming and the worst of it is that the price gets increased and the quality gets reduced. A while ago when I went to get a mattress the vendor told me something that got me short, the company intentionally reduced the quality of the products so that people will come back to another within a short time. This scenario keeps repeating itself again and again in my country.

Then what will this be attributed to, even if a businessman will get to where things are produced outside the country and tell the producers to reduce quality because his people don't value quality that much. What can be done to curb this kind of thing from happening within the nation?

As a mother, I have used several diapers just in search of the one that will best suit my daughter but to no avail and the same thing keep happening, the price is so increased. One of my friends that the husband is a dealer in diapers left the business to face his sachet water production with the reason that the company always adds money to the products and at the same time opened the distributorship to many persons which will reduce his coverage.

What can be done
To salvage the situation it is necessary for the to government establishes a regulatory body that will help to unify prices. If peradventure the government set a standard price for every good it will stand

Also, the place of middlemen should be eliminated, most goods get so high because of the activities of the middlemen. Imagine buying a bag of rice at #46,000 naira from the market while you can get the same at the rate of #23,000 from the mill. Personally in my family now we don't border to buy rice from the open market

By so doing the prices will crash down drastically.

The government should look away from borrowing, I wonder what they do with all the money they borrow, this is a topic for another day. But, to say the present government takes borrowing as a habit which is too bad for the system and it has a more negative impact.

When we have a government that cares about the well-being of the citizens in a short time things will take shape, the process may not be so easy but sure it will happen
