Not Yet A Professional But Getting Better By The Day

Growth is considered to be a constant thing as we keep learning or are open to learning new things we get better because we fail in the process and know the things not to repeat if we failed at those ventures we undertook or we learn how best to do them if we maybe didn't measure to standard...

The picture is mine

There are lots of things I had to learn on the job. You know in the professional space, there are jobs you apply for and you will be asked about your experience on the job or you will be required to have a certain year's experience in such discipline to be qualified.

And there are also jobs that one is required to learn on the job and that is called on-the-job training, so my story is of one that I learned on the job and am still learning as far as this parenthood is concerned.

Well, I got married in my late 20s and without any experience in parenting if not what I read in books. Most times when it comes to reading books, am addicted to books but the truth is, some subjects are more practical and personal than theory. Most people a times write based on their experience and every child comes with diverse uniqueness and ought to be treated the same.

When I gave birth to my first baby on the 9th of February, I have been told how well to cover newborns to prevent them from getting cold, believe February is the epic of the heating season, and without me knowing I was busy with my covering my baby.

One thing I noticed within those days was, my baby will not want to sleep and remains restless and when I take him outside he slept well. This continued until my baby became so sick, don't just laugh 😆 at me ooo. One day I went to the pharmacy to get some drugs for him, but just #500 took care of him.

One thing I did that day was, I came home and removed all his clothes take him to bathe and this boy slept so well, from that day I learned my lesson that it's not by covering. Also, children get pneumonia most times not because of cold but because of the heat that dries up.

During my second baby, I didn't allow anyone to tell me to cover or remove clothes. Thanks enough this babe doesn't like heat at all so she cries until you do the right thing for her.

Well, learning as I said before is a continuous process, and as I earlier said that every child is unique. So if I have the opportunity to have another baby am open to learning to follow what the baby wants or what the baby's system needs and not what I have learned so far.

This is my entry for the hive learners contest week 47 edition 1, you can do well to participate also. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today
