How many Double Strike cards can you name?

The Double Strike ability is quite situational but can be brutal if set up correctly. In many circumstances, the tankiest monsters are at the front, combine a double strike and super sneak ruleset and you can get a free ride to glory.

Using Peakmonsters.com, I have collected a list along with prices and ranked them according to price.

Which card is the cheapest and how many can you name?

10. The Vigilator

TheVigilator.d.PNG

Level for Double StrikeBCX costEstimated Cost for Double Strike
Level 1$37.887$37.887

The most expensive card on the list and it is clear to see why. Ranged attack and melee in the SAME TURN. Excellent stats and double strike all folded into one lovely package. Sure it is expensive and maybe not the top of your priority list, but it was the first legendary on this list and deservingly so.

9. Silvershield Archers

SilvershieldArchers.f.PNG

Level for Double StrikeBCX costEstimated Cost for Double StrikeBCX required
Level 6$0.492$17.4052 BCX

This is a fabulous card at first level and it does take a while to improve. At 6th level and 52 bcx, it gains double strike. Worth it? Not really but it does target those backline ranged attackers and that is always good. $17.40 worth? Maybe not for me.

8. Axe Master

AxeMAster.f.png

Level for Double StrikeBCX costEstimated Cost for Double Strike
Level 1$8.29$8.29

A real favourite in those high mana battles with great stats overall, especially in a Kelya Frendul set up. Equally has good use in a wild deck as well. An excellent card and to increase in value long term would not be much of a stretch to believe. I need to purchase one for myself.

7. Carnage Titan

CarnageTitan.f.PNG

Level for Double StrikeBCX costEstimated Cost for Double Strike
Level 1$7.029$7.029

The most recent addition to this list alongside the Infiltrator. This is the second legendary monster on the list. The reach ability sets it apart from the rest of the list and is a difficult monster to get around in some rulesets. At 3rd level it gets to reduce melee damage against it. Awesome but mana wise a little bit expensive. Great for those high mana match ups!

6. Silvershield Assassin

SilvershieldAssassin.g.PNG

Level for Double StrikeBCX costEstimated Cost for Double Strike
Level 1$2.10$2.10

There was a period of time where this was part of the Lorna Shine meta for life. A great card but really expensive in terms of mana. But add in the correct allies alongside it and it can tear the opponent apart for you. Situational and not as good as it was. Get it to level 3 if you can for the additional damage.

5. Hobgoblin - only neutral

Hobgoblin.PNG

Level for Double StrikeBCX costEstimated Cost for Double Strike
Level 1$1.695$1.695

At this price, I find it too expensive. A high cost mana wise for the damage and health. Not really worth it but it is the only neutral on the list and sometimes that variety and flexibility does pay. Situational but could be worth it.

4. Grund

Grund.f.png

Level for Double StrikeBCX costEstimated Cost for Double Strike
Level 1$1.688$1.688

This was one of my first single card purchases once I had settled into the game properly. The only Earth card on this list. I love the damage this card can do. So much fun especially in blast match rulesets. Great card. I want to take this card to 3rd level at least. That trample at 4th level looks pretty juicy as well.

3. Undead Minotaur

UndeadMinotaur.f.PNG

Level for Double StrikeBCX costEstimated Cost for Double Strike
Level 1$0.236$0.236

The only death card to make the list. The value in the mana cost of 6 for the overall damage output is not there. You'd need 4 copies to make it a decent killing monster and it would then be a bit higher on the list. Not really worth it, but nice to have I suppose in the death deck.

2. Pelacor Arbalest

PelacorArbalest.f.PNG

Level for Double StrikeBCX costEstimated Cost for Double Strike
Level 1$0.20$0.20

A go to for General Sloan fans. Easy to use, needs protection and can really do the damage in a synergised Life line up. Well worth every penny. Get them all!

1. Dhampir Infiltrator

DhampirInfiltrator.f.PNG

Level for Double StrikeBCX costEstimated Cost for Double Strike
Level 1$0.029$0.029

Cheapest and joint newest card on the list. A great, cheap card and worth picking up. This is the card the Undead Minotaur should have been. Overall great card and it screams value for money. Pick them up while you can.

No fire options

I thought this quite interesting really. The lack of fire options is a shame as they tend to work so well with Melee. Perhaps that is the balance for Fire?
