Well scammers look into different ways scamming people. It is common in the crypto industry as well.

Emails are an important part of our accounts on different platforms online which are connected to it. And people may face phishing attempts in their emails from the scammers.

It's important to take care of a few safety recommendations while dealing with such things.

Impersonating

Be cautious of the emails that you receive while the scammers try to impersonate a platform. They may use the domain which looks like the same with a very tiny little change that may sometimes be not noticed.

It's safe not to engage with an email coming from someone claiming to be from a particular domain which you are a part of.

Downloading Attachments

Be cautious while downloading attachments. Email attachments can infect your computer with dangerous malware that may compromise your PC and data.

Check URL

URLs sometimes are misspelled in an attempt to impersonate and scam. It's a common attempt made on the part of scammers by shuffling words.

Make sure to double check the URL link shared in the email.

Don't Share Passwords

Never share your passwords or secret wallet phrases with any body.

There is an infamous saying in the cryptoverse, not your keys, not your coins.

A few attempts were made on me on Discord and Twitter (impersonating platforms) where it asked for my wallet phrase but luckily I was able to counter it playing it safe.

Signing a Wallet Address

If you are directly prompted in a email to sign a wallet transaction, don't do it as long as it's not from a trusted platform.

Stay safe.

There are just way too many scams out there and it's always good to be reminded of the best practices. Of course, this applies to more than just emails.
