Fruits and Veggies Monday | My Sunday Smoothie

Disclaimer: I am not sure if this qualifies, as I used Greek style yoghurt as one of the ingredients.
I called this my Sunday Smoothie, as I obviously made this experiment on a Sunday. We are getting ready for the New Year's celebration, so we did buy some round fruits for the welcoming of 2020. It's a local tradition to prepare a basket full of round fruits as this would mean prosperity in the coming year.
As I believe that we would have enough left for New Year's eve, I started this experiment with the following ingredients.
I was really glad when I saw some mint leaves at the supermarket. I have been meaning to add some to my smoothies.
Then, last came the Greek-style yoghurt.
Let me walk you through the process of creating my Sunday smoothie.
First off, I started with slicing the oranges in half. I needed the juice from the oranges. I squeezed these out using a strainer. Then, I set aside the juice with the leftover pulp on a bowl.
I used only half of the cucumber. I removed the seeds and sliced it into bite size pieces. I also used a few of the mint leaves and chopped them a bit to add to the other ingredients.
I sliced the apples last, so they won't get the brown color. These are to be placed directly on the blender. I added around a small cup of water.
The ingredients are now in the blender waiting. I blended till all the ingredients were smooth. Then it was time to add the yoghurt.
I blended further till the yoghurt is well mixed into the smoothie.
It's now ready for serving. I was actually able to make 4 servings. My daughter and I really enjoyed this new experiment. I still have a few more fruits waiting to be made into a smoothie. That's it for this week's edition. I hope to be able to share more in the new year.

This is definitely flavorful smoothie full of healthy fruits and veggies , however, Greek Yogurt is not vegan/ plant based, which does not qualify for our contest. This yogurt is made of dairy which is an animal based product although, you could use plant based yogurt instead, such as Coconut Yogurt, Almond yogurt or Soy. Even banana or avocado would do the job and it would be much healthier and cruelty free. Please read the rules HERE for future reference. Thank you 🥑🍊🍎🍌🥑
Thank you for the added information. I wasn't sure it would qualify 'coz of the yoghurt. And I will try and find the plant-based yoghurt that you have mentioned. 😊😊 there remains much to be learned. Happy new year! 🎉🎊🎇🎆

My pleasure and I would love to help you with the plant based yogurt, however, the brands here in Canada are most likely different than those in your country. However, these are the best ones here in North America: https://www.peta.org/living/food/get-cultured-with-these-vegan-yogurt-brands/
Happy New Year 🍓🥂🥑
So... it's a drinkable fruit salad with yogurt? Hmmmm. Sounds good but I prefer the solid version. 😊
😂😂 fruit salad is easier to prepare. No blender needed. But this helps me consume more fruits to prevent spoilage 😊😊

Wow! This is impressive! I think I should give it a try. I love the process you used. Makes it look easy. Did you add sugar as part of thr ingredients?

No sugar was added. It was surprisingly sweet enough for us. I would recommend honey more too. Happy new year!
