ThursdayPick | A Summer to Remember

This may well have been a #throwbackThursday post. I'm sharing a summer getaway that I really enjoyed almost two years ago. It was in April 2018. I suppose that's why I chose to feature it today.

I was alone at work then, and I found myself getting too stressed out by the amount of work I needed to do daily. My colleague was on maternity leave at that time. It was summertime. My sister-in-law invited us to an overnight weekend stay at an exclusive out of town beach and country club.

It was such a tempting offer that I filed for my leave. I was so glad I did, as it was such a beautiful place. I couldn't miss it for the world. What an amazing experience indeed!

It was a membership club, but some members do rent out their units to folks who wanted to spend some quiet time away from the city. My sister-in-law seemed to have frequented this place in the past. It was our first time there.

The unit has a small lovely kitchen, but we brought our own food. My sister-in-law decided we would have lots to munch on during the overnight stay.

There's also a balcony with a lovely view of the entire complex.

The best part was that the unit owner was present when we got to the club that we got access to the exclusive part reserved mainly for members and their guests. How awesome was that indeed!

The exclusive beach had far less folks so we got to enjoy the pool and the beach more. Hurray!

My daughter looked up the place before we went and discovered they also offer cove tours. My sister-in-law had not tried it at all, so it was our treat so we could maximize the fun we had at the club. Below is a video of the cove tour that we booked.

A bit of snorkeling was part of the cove tour. My daughter and niece had lots of fun with that. I was too afraid to get into the water. LOL!

It was such a fun day. We even went for a walk before retiring to our unit that night. What a memorable summer indeed!
