TravelTuesday | Travel Back in Time Taking Mr. Pinmapple on a Trip
Photos featured are from my collection. Tagaytay City, 2013.
My daughter and I have grown fond of travelling to different places. It was not always the case. Today, I take you back to the trip that started our wanderlust. This was our first out-of-town trip together. It was to Tagaytay City in Cavite. It's not too far away from where we live. However, we just took public transport (bus).
We stayed in a quaint, little hotel called The Windy Ridge Hotel. This place was not too far from the circle that is the center of town. Back in those days, there weren't so many malls in Tagaytay.
The hotel was interesting in that we had to climb down one level to get to our room. Check in was at the top floor; rooms at the basement floors.
It was a small and cozy room. We totally loved it. This was to be our first home away from home. Well, it was drizzling when we got there. However, the weather cleared so we were able to go about our trip.
It was all D-I-Y at this point; meaning, we planned the trip ourselves and chose the places we visited. We arrived after lunch, so our first order was to have a late lunch. Then, we made our first stop at the Pink Sisters Chapel & Convent. It was a beautiful place for some quiet meditation.
On our way back, we dropped by Amira's Buco Tart Haus. It was located not too far from the convent. Even then, we loved walking by foot.
To this day, my daughter loves the buco tart that is made and sold there.
We naturally did not forget to bring Mr. Pinmapple to our next stop, the Sky Ranch. (Photo was edited with photogrid app on my mobile.)
Our target was to ride the Sky Ranch Eye. This was my second "eye" ride -- the first being the M.O.A. Eye.
Mr. Pinmapple got to ride with us. He's enjoying the view from atop the Sky Ranch Eye. (Photo was edited with photogrid app on my mobile.)
There were but a few fun rides that time. One of which was the Nessi Coaster. Of course, Mr. Pinmapple got to join us too. I think you will agree with me that he seemed to have had a lot of fun. (Photo was edited with photogrid app on my mobile.)
One last stop before heading back to the hotel was the Mushroomburger place. That's where we had our dinner.
That was a fun first day! I will be sharing more of our Tagaytay City throwback fun next time around.
