Evolving into an Orca & Builders Keep Building

The 6th LEO Power Up Day came and went fast. Cubs and lions roared alike. So loud and clear that the dragons couldn't bear they cowered in fear then just fled.

What did you expect? Of course it was a huge success!

Well, based on the fun tale by @leogrowth, 23 dragons were slain which means 23 people powered up more than 2K LEO each. Accordingly, a total of 230k LEO were staked by 140 valiant cubs and lions shepherded by none other than the Leader of the Pack, @khaleelkazi. How cool is that, right?

History is being made here, don't you think?

The community came together, filled the den with loads of positive vibes amidst the current market conditions, proving once again that Leo Finance indeed houses many a diamond paws.

Anyhow, on checking the notifications in the morning, this wee cub noticed that her name was mentioned on a tag. Lo and behold, closer to the end of that beautiful narrative was a surprise waiting. Little did she know that her luck will arrive soon enough.

Yes, you read that right! That feeling being pronounced as one of the 3 lucky Orcas is just super fantastic! And of course, that comes with a fun responsibility of spreading the LEO love around the den for the next 3 weeks and we will see that through and through.

It's amazing how the Leo Finance community thrives despite the noise of economic pressures all around the globe, with crypto and stock market dwindling down and what else. The energy, the community and the coordinated actions here are quite unbelievable and I guess these are really what differentiate the LeoVerse and Hive from other spaces out there.

The great thing is that although staking makes our assets illiquid for weeks, they are still in our wallets which we own and hold the keys to. And while they are locked up, we earn through them as well. What's better than that?

Staking thousands of LEO (or HIVE for that matter), month after month not only by the red fishes or cubs but the whales or lions too, shows how much we believe in the ecosystem and the things being built and developed around here.

Speaking of developments, I listened to the Weekly AMA aka Wen Soon Show and Khal mentioned they are continually building behind the scenes and he even teased some features coming through the new Leo Finance UI (the standalone Threads app) and on CubFinance. I can't wait for those but while the devs are still hard at work, let's just keep enjoying the existing things that they have already built for us.

Coincidentally, this too reminded me of what I've heard last night from the replay of the CryptoManiacs Podcast where @blocktrades talked about how they are working to keep scaling this blockchain and decentralizing the storage, improving the efficiency of nodes among other things. Hearing his confidence on how advanced the technology Hive has compared to others makes me feel proud being here.

Yes, the builders keep building and I can only let my imagination run wild of where Leo Finance and Hive will be in 3, 5 or 10 years from now.
