How Threads is Evolving and Features I Wish Existed

It's just been about 7 weeks since threads was launched and I believe most of us are now having a lot more fun and enjoying it. Cannot deny the fact that it was tough and challenging during the first few weeks but thanks to Khal's team, UX is now so much better.

So what upgrades have happened from since the launch?

• Loading speed - It is now super fast which is definitely one of the best things that happened. We no longer have to wait for the threads window to load. The upgraded speed is providing us with a better user experience.

• Full rendering of photos - It is in full-view mode which is absolutely awesome.

• Filtering - Our threads including our replies and comments are now viewable on our profile page. This feature makes it quicker for us to check what we have missed and reply to them.

  We can also view other people's pages if we want to see what they have been threading and when we want to interact with them.

  This feature makes engaging on our threads and on other people's a lot easier.

  

• Videos are embeddable - 3Speak and YouTube videos can now be embedded on threads.

These enhancements and upgrades made the user experience (UX) better and have obviously increased the activity on threads. Still, there are some features that I wish existed too or perhaps be added in the sooniverse :)

• Preview before posting - Being able to view the threads we make prior to posting would be cool.

• Edit or Delete Button - Sometimes when I make a typo or I forgot to add something on my #thread, I wished there was an edit button where I can just click on to rectify the error or type some more. There was a time I made a thread that didn't make sense and I had to go to another front-end to delete it fast because I realized if it doesn't get deleted, it will be recorded on the Hive blockchain forever, lol!

• Rethread feature - Khal teased on this one yesterday so it might get added. There are #threads that are so good to share and a rethread button and the ability to be able to add our own thoughts or comments before rethreading would be wonderful.

• Bookmarking - Being able to bookmark or save a thread and keep them in one place would be nice as well. It will be easier to find them when we want to make a reference to them in the future.

• GIFs and Emojis - These little things add some more fun to threads.

One of the most important aspects of a platform or an app is the user experience and with LeoFinance having a history of being a builder, I believe that it won't take long for threads to become what it is envisioned to be, a real game-changer here in Hive.
