By the Fish Ponds (Reflection Hunting 95)

Magandang buhay everyone :)

I'm sharing some reflection photos taken out of town. We visited a place and met surveyors to map out something which we recently bought and whilst there, we got to see fish ponds with trees around (mostly guavas) and they were mirrored on the water.

And because I always have the Shadow Hunters community in mind, I was excited to take some photos. Pardon my captures though, I told ya before, I just point and shot, lol! And I couldn't find a better angle 'coz the walkway being narrow and I was fearful my phone might drop on the water, haha! The ponds were on the rooftop of a house by the way.

This is the first of the 4 concrete ponds, 3 on the east side. Look at that vegetation and the clouds too!

Did you notice the water ripple by the corner? I bet a fish or two were watching, lol!

The surroundings were fenced with plastic mesh probably to prevent other people from getting into it. This is the second pond

There were fallen branches on them which added a bit of a view and made them a little more dramatic, lol! Water on this one is shallow compared to the other two. We heard the wife has forgotten to remove the submersible pump so it drained towards their garden. It was just good the husband noticed it otherwise it would have been emptied.

And here's the third. Obviously, they are not really well-maintained but there were live fingerlings in them. I learned that Tilapia or the so-called St. Peter's Fish are the easiest species to breed and quite economical too because they feed on algae. That's why they don't clean the water even if it's already dark green.

The fourth at the west side of the rooftop. I like that they had lots of trees and greens around their property. The owner mentioned the sunset is beautiful in that part of the place but because it was gloomy at that time, we were not able to witness any of it.

And finally, a gif created out of the video recorded while exploring the area.

This is of course my participation to Round 95 of the Reflection Hunters Contest by Olgavita.

P.S. I will be offline for the most part of today because we're heading to my in-law's place where there's no internet connection and mobile reception is very poor. But worry not, I will get back to you when I'll be home :)

Thank you lots and cheers to an amazing weekend everyone!

Photos are my own. 171222/08:30ph

Smile... laugh often... love more... be happy and grateful always!

I do not know that they feed algae that's why they don't clean the water. Gosh! That's new information for me. I was about to ask if what kind of fish survive in that kind of water, lol. Tilapia is best when grilled with stuffed fillings. !PIZZA

Those are quite huge ponds and if I can get something of such, I will be one of the happiest people in the world.

You captured great shots, thanks for sharing with us.

We aren't the owners so we don't feed them. But we learnt they give them fish food once or twice a week.
