It's the new week, whew!

The weather for these past few days had been cold and wet which makes me miss the sun even more. Unfortunately, it had not gotten a chance to take a peek even for a while. Most of you who read me may have already known that I love the sunny weather more although I appreciate the rain and coolness it gives in the air and the nutrients it provides to the soil and plants too.

And so today, whilst the rain is doing its own thing outside the house, I decided to do something that helps lift up myself to a more sunny disposition. Not much of a work really, but it's one of the things that is fun to do in times like this. That is by visiting photos and finding things and memories that make the soul warm and yes, glow!

This was one from a really sunny at quarter to 10 in one morning. Taken at a vicinity of the university down the valley. Just a look of it reminded me of the day when the husband decided to take me out for a quick lunch date. A fun day that was.



And below was from the backyard garden of a pole bean blooming, co-existing with a cherry tomato. Aah... the joy of seeing one's plants grow and thrive alongside each other. Why not people do the same noh?



And some buds and blooms of a Chinese Lantern Tree or the so-called Abutilon Megapotamicum with some shadows too. This photo specifically reminded me of the time when we enjoyed an afternoon at a school grounds, like we were school youngsters, snapping this and that.



And this was a capture of the sky above our yard during one sunny day. This definitely made me feel some warm breeze!



And finally, a sunset that always make me feel restful, hopeful and blissful. Reminds me that there is so much more to life than moaning about the weather (or anything else) and that we must always, always be grateful...

Interesting, I wonder if there is a mutual benefit between these two, a pole bean and a cherry tomato plant.

Well I checked it out now and it said the pole beans provide direct benefits to most crops by shading them from late afternoon sun especially where space is tight. It will also fix the soil nitrogen as a legume which makes tomatoes happy. Well some claim the tomato should establish first before planting the bean,

which one did you plant first between the two?

As humans we often ask what's in for me or one end up being a parasite to the other or even worse competing and not focusing on mutual growth. Surely we can learn something from nature and this is a beautiful observation ifarmgirl, I'm hopefully humans are getting there too 🌺🌟💫

That's very interesting, thank you for sharing your research :) I planted the beans but not the tomatoes. It must have been a seed from the previous plant we had in the summer and it germinated. I didn't notice any while sowing the beans so I'd say the beans grew first :)

This is true for sure. Sometimes when I see plants co-existing, I have this wish that we as humans can do the same too. Unfortunately, that doesn't always happen because it seems competition is in our veins. But truly, we can learn from nature, not only of this thing, but more :)

Looking at old photographs gives joy. We revisit the feelings that we went through and even more.

Seeing your plants grow always makes us elated. It is like your efforts are blooming. There is a feeling of being rewarded

Happy new week. It was raining here this morning. I thought it was set in for the day, but now the sun is shining. I'm not looking forward to the shorter, grey days that are heading our way now we're well into autumn.

Some lovely nature pictures there my friend, i do think people do grow and thrive alongside each other for the most part.

If they didn't humanity simply would not have survived.😎

Most of what we enjoy was a combination of people working together, like the device you took these picture with and uploaded to the internet.

This action in itself would not have been possible if people had not grown and thrived next to each other.

The materials sourced, the components created, the knowledge used and the network built.
If you look at any item we use on a daily basis and think about what actually went into creating it, you suddenly realise how many people were involved.
