Hump Day Stories

It's a glorious Wednesday here and I'm just glad the husband is back on his feet after coming home with a fever on Monday evening. The rest he had the whole of yesterday and throughout last night did the magic. Plus some medication, that is.

So yes, all good...

We were up at half-past 6 am and were out the yard for some stretching when we had this view. Thin sheet of clouds blanketing the space down there just before the sun rays penetrated it.

Yes, we've got clear blue skies today.

Meanwhile, we received a news that somewhere down the valley, old age has taken an aunt away. I think she never really had any illness except about a few weeks ago when her grandson fetched her from her house up in the mountain where she had been living mostly alone.

Mom was just talking about her on Friday when we were discussing about adult diapers and stuff. It was mentioned that aunty refused to go to the hospital saying it's just how she is getting old. Perhaps she felt her time was near? That's just me wondering...

A week ago (16th), another distant relative 'crossed over the rainbow' in a rather untimely manner. She was found by her grandson lying face down on her bedroom floor and whilst they rushed her to the emergency, the doctors were unable to revive her. Rumors had it that she may have suffered a heart attack and most people who saw her the previous day were shocked.

One of their neighbors narrated that he had seen her having coffee in her front porch the day before. Sighing he said, "just another reality of life - that no one really knows when his time is up."

To which I agree...

For neither we nor anyone else know when our sunset comes that is why it is important to live each day like it is our last.

Sunset yesterday evening

And that we shall try our hardest to do...
To smile, laugh and live in love.
Because we never really know
when is our time to say "adieu."

Photos are my own. 22032023/10:52ph

Smile... laugh often... love more... be happy and grateful always!

It is good to hear yourhusband is doing better now. That is an amazing view you had in the morning. My condolences for your loss of your loved ones. I am so sorry.

You are so correct, we never know when each moment is out last. That is why I am wanting to work through my socialization issues and get out more.

In my opinion, it is normal for a person to be born and die, he refuses to go to the doctor because he is bored anxious and hopeless.

We really cannot predict the timing of everything. There's also someone who crossed the path to heaven just days ago. I even talked to her days before she passed away, and even my Mom was shocked when I told her about it. According to her hospital records, it was a heart attack that killed her.

That's really shocking, Cherry.

Heart attack seems to be common these days. There had been several around here who has gone to the beyond from it.

The pictures just align so well with the stories (though sad) sunrise to sunset - the tone of our lives. In truth we never really know when the sun will set in our lives.
Thank you for a lovely post

I'm just glad the husband is back on his feet after coming home with a fever on Monday evening.

It's a good thing that your husband is feeling better and hope that he will fully recover very soon.

For neither we nor anyone else know when our sunset comes that is why it is important to live each day like it is our last.

That's the truth. No one knows which one will be our last sunset. There is no guarantee of a single second. A few days ago one of my uncles died suddenly and nobody expected it. That's life and life is an uncertain thing and anything can happen at anytime.

Yes, he is back to he has fully recovered so we are attending the funeral later today.

I'm sorry to hear about your uncle... my deepest condolences. Death is like a thief indeed, just comes without anyone expecting it.

Take care

That's right, sis. Every day is a new opportunity that life gives us and we have to make the most of it. Things can change so fast from one moment to the next without us seeing it coming.
For me, it is hump day still, but for you, it'll be Thursday, have a happy day, amiga
