RisingStar Beginner guide and how to buy cards
RisingStar is a play 2 earn game that allows you to become a singing star.
You can start the game without needing to investing anything but time. Investing money or crypto from other sources does speed up the process.
You earn Starbits and experience(XP) by running missions.
The first mission can earn between 1 and 48 Starbits and 10 XP. This will use up 15% of your energy.
Energy recharges ~1% every 5 minutes or fully in 8 hours.
Second mission increases the Starbits and XP.
Increase Fans by purchasing cards
To increase the number of fans you have you find drunks(temporary fans) or purchase cards with fans using the startbits that you earned.
Card "51 Jason" has 10 fans and cost 590 Starbits.
Move Starbits to Hive-Engine
Starbits need to be moved from the game to the Hive-Engine. This is accomplished by Highlighting STARBITS menu in the header bar and clicking on Withdraw/Deposit.
You will need a minimum of 1000 Starbits to move them over to Hive-Engine.
Marketplace
The marketplace can be found under Cards in the header bar.
The marketplace allows you to filter by type of currency and name. It doesn't include number of fans easily.
Your Collection under the Cards menu allows you to see the universe of cards available and which ones you own. Owned are colored and not owned are in grayscale.
Generally the cheaper cards will be in the 40-50's in number/name order. The cards are alpha sorted not numeric sorted so 40 will come after everthing starting with a 3. (39,4,40,41) These cards which are still in print have been running between 500 and 1000 Starbits each.
Out of print(Discontinued)
Click on the cards in this area to see if they are still in print.
You can also access a market tab on this screen which list cards for sale and their price. Scroll around to find the least expensive one using the currency you prefer.
Third Party Market
I like to use a third party market called NFTMart to purchase cards for Rising Star. There are multiple NFTMart's, so here is the link with the Rising Star cards on it.

This market includes filters that I have found work better for my limited internet bandwidth.
Player Rankings
My strategy has been to try and get as many unique cards as possible to move up the leaderboard. I have made it to the top 1000 in less than 30 days with 30 Dollars invested in buying 10 card packs.

Thanks for sharing this tutorial. I like knowing something about the games and play2earn so I can at least comment on the posts with some understanding.
Thanks for replying. I hope the tutorial help others to understand the basics of the game. There is a lot that I still haven't touched in the game. It has a bit of complexity while staying simple to play.
You're very welcome, @ijat! You did a great job with it so I am sure it will. You can always update as you learn more. Have a great Sunday and week ahead! 😀
