T20 Indian Premier league 2021 is back in UAE - Day 1 - MI v/s CSK

Yes, T20 tournament which was postponed due to covid outbreak in India has resumed today in UAE.

Match 30 - Chennai Super Kings [CSK] v/s Mumbai Indians [MI]

CSK won the toss and elected to bat first.

The start for CSK was not good they lost 4 wickets in power play. Technically 5, as one of the batter Ambati Rayudu was retired hurt. But two good partnerships between Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo helped CSK to reach 156/6 in 20 overs

In reply, MI lost 2 wickets in power play. But, the wickets keep falling at regular intervals and they only managed to reach 136/8 in 20 overs. MI fell short by 20 runs

CSK won the match by 20 runs.
With this win, CSK is back on top of the table.

Player of the match - Ruturaj Gaikwad [CSK]

Analysis:

first half of the innings, MI bowled very well. But they could not stop the flow of runs in the last 8 overs.
MI have few injuries issues which they need to tackle. The batting was below par.

On other hand, though CSK won the match, they have lot to worry about.
Few injuries and top batting order woes.

This is just the first match, so lets see how both the teams progress.
