This rush has a negative impact because, the constructors do not have enough time to do the work to the standard and another cause is that Lagos state is a waterlogged area, an island. Also, is poor building materials used in the construction. Due to the frequent collapsed buildings, the residents then demand that Lagos State government should ban an high-rise buildings in the state. On a Wednesday morning, a three storey-building collapsed at Ita-Faji on Lagos Island and killed four persons to deaths while others sustained serious injuries injured.
