Community Performance weakens in yet another week
#POB is termed as one of the hidden gems of the hive community. It was known for the engagement on platform. Every article used to witness a couple of comments. However, this has now become past. The engagement project started by @amr008 ended, and the #pobtalk project started by @vempromundo.pob is seeing very low response. Overall, it is yet another week indicating the weakness on the charts.
Highlights of the week
- 2338 (Last week 2251) subscribers to the community - This was the strongest parameter with the growth of 20.95%.
- 665 (Last week 723) active users are actively posting on POB. During the last week number of active users reduced by 19.4%
- There are about 6189 (Last week 6016) investors who are/were holding POB tokens. 14.5% growth of investors. Investors have seen a continuous growth since April, when I started compiling these reports.
The most important highlight of the week is the cross section of the investors vs. interactions trends.
Interactions have been continuously falling down whereas investors are continuously increasing. Growing number of investors against the interactions also indicate that the stakeholders of the community are now not interested in the engagement but prefer to be in the curators role.
Declining Engagement
Engagement clearly indicates a declining trend since last couple of weeks and with just 4897 engagements for the week, it has already cloaked the decline of close to 35% on weekly basis.
However, when combined with the declining number of the active users the per user engagement has reduced to only 7 comments per user. This ratio is one of the lowest in the #pob history.
Impact of #pobtalk
The engagement on #pobtalk forum has started seeing the decline and the average comments per day are registering new low. On 29th September it registered only 21 comments against its all time high of 354 on 19th August. Total weekly comments have also fallen down to 338, which is just 6.9% of the total comments on the platform.
This just proves what I've been talking about for a long time.
People engaged in a fake way just to get votes.
I was always getting comments on my posts. Some great, but others very generic where the user only read the title and commented on some nonsense things.
Since the project ended, these same users have disappeared.
In terms of health, the community is grateful. We don't have parasites.
We just have to find a way now that creates engagement in an always REAL and Organic way.
I definitely agree with you friend. Now the engagement is real and natural too. Previously there were many accounts solely created for comments purposes to abuse rewards of engagement project, some even made 50+ comments earlier just for sake of it, that spread spamming and gave bed influence to many others too. Now atleast we know the truth, engagement should be natural and come from within, it should be fun and spread love, happiness, positivity and !PIZZA 😊🤗
Really, this was happening a lot. I was about to create a post to talk about this wave of comments with generic accounts when amr announced the end of the project.

How were things before AMR's engagement project? Do you have that data? It would be very interesting to see.
What is happening now is that the real lover of people community are still genuinely engaging, I think this is a good thing. Lets all comments come straight from the heart and nothing less.

I think there is hope in the POB community. In here I don't the usual hive suspects. Definitely POB has the new HIVE blood.
growing pains. where there is money, there will be people trying to get it. Where there is potential for a community, there is work... and many shy away from that. Good things take time. POB in 4 years... imagine.
