Ekweremadu's trial over an allegation of organ harvesting.
In the world today terrible things keep happening as time goes on, the world is turning into something else. Today we face one thing, tomorrow another. In Nigeria jus t within these space a lot of insecurity issues, if not bandits, we hear of gunmen.
Early hours of Thursday, while listening to the radio I heard a troubling information that got me thinking. I thought of how a lawmaker could partake in such activity.
It was reported that the former deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu was placed on trial with charges of conspiracy and organ harvest.
The conspiracy charge was with reasons that he made ease the traveling of another person for exploitation
After much deliberation the trial was adjourned by the Uxbridge magistrate court. The next court date was announced to be July 7, 2022. With conditions that the former deputy Senate president will remain in custody till the next court date because no bail application has been made.
The Senate president, Ahmad Lawan
is trying his best in engaging lawyers to help defend the former deputy Senate president and the wife who is suspected to be involved in the conspiracy. It was also reported that the Senate president, Ahmed Lawan said some representative are going to visit the accused couple today being July 1, 2022.
I commend the attention the house has paid to this case and hope that the outcome of the next court meeting will be an interesting one.
