[ENG-ESP] Today I teach you how to prepare cachapas from scratch.
Hola mis amigos, quiero saludarles este día con mucha alegría y contarles de estas deliciosas cachapas que hice en casa de mi suegra.
Cachapas desde cero
Ingredientes a utilizar:
- Maíz
- Suero
- Leche
- Azúcar
- Huevos
- Harina de trigo

Cachapas from scratch
Ingredients to use:
- Corn
- Whey
- Milk
- Sugar
- Eggs
- Wheat flour
El primer paso siempre es ordenar nuestros ingredientes a utilizar, como podrán notar ya el maíz está listo para llevar al molino.
El maíz se encuentra tierno, en este caso utilice un molino eléctrico pero puedes usar uno manual, incluso una procesadora de alimentos.
The first step is always to order our ingredients to be used, as you can see the corn is ready to be taken to the mill.
The corn is tender, in this case I used an electric grinder but you can use a manual one, even a food processor.
Al terminar de moler el maíz lo llevamos a la mesa, allí le agregamos uno o dos huevos y comenzamos a batir.
Seguidamente le incorporamos el suero, le da un toque genial, pero lo puedes sustituir por leche.
When we finish grinding the corn we take it to the table, there we add one or two eggs and start beating.
Then we add the whey, it gives it a great touch, but you can substitute it with milk.
Seguimos incorporando azúcar al gusto, y harina de trigo la cantidad necesaria para obtener una mezcla homogénea.
Generalmente es poco la cantidad de harina de trigo a añadir.
De esta manera nuestra mezcla estará lista.
We continue adding sugar to taste, and wheat flour the amount necessary to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
Generally the amount of wheat flour to be added is small.
In this way our mixture will be ready.
Precalentamos el sartén donde vamos a cocinar nuestras cachapas con un poco de aceite.
Agregamos la mezcla y doramos por ambos lados.
Cuando ya esté casi lista vamos a untar mantequilla y el queso rallado. Y procederemos a cerrar para que el queso se derrita.
Le pueden agregar aguacate, pollo, carne, lo que ustedes prefieran.
¡Y quedan absolutamente divinas para compartir en familia!
Preheat the pan where we are going to cook our cachapas with a little oil.
Add the mixture and brown on both sides.
When it is almost ready we will spread butter and grated cheese. We will proceed to close it so that the cheese melts.
You can add avocado, chicken, meat, whatever you prefer.
And they are absolutely divine to share with the family!

La cachapa es uno de mis platos favoritos pero en casa casi que la hacemos con el puro maíz, ni leche ni huevos como la preparan en el campo.
