A visit to St Michaels GSM market , Aba.
This is the photo I took at the entrance of the market gate.
Aba is the commercial heat of Aba system and it houses the biggest market in Nigeria and indeed in West Africa that is Ariaria International market . The market is known for leather work and wears .
At the St Michaels GSM market Aba, I lot of people buying and selling all types of computers, mobile phones, MP3 players.
I took random pictures of things that got my attention though they might not have any important information but I am I was able to capture some shots using my mobile phone. In this building you can buy all products of computers and mobile phones.
It was cloudy and the rain I was about to give her drops so I just had to hurry up to get home since I wanted to take a walk downtown to experience the beauty of the environment. Since I was not buying anything, here walking would be great for me not minding the weather.
Electricity is one thing I noticed is a challenge in the market I saw that every shop had a generating set to power the shops.
In this photo above ,you could see this young boy trying to start up the generator.
People are coming in and out and I just loved this place and I my second coming to this market would be to change my mobile phone or get a laptop since working from my mobile phone is giving me eye some stress.
I saw this bus with loads and when I looked into the bus I found out that it was a busy coming from a bush market.
Is he trying to take a decision on what to buy? Or is he looking at someone that I can not tell. I never noticed him before taking this photo it was while going through my gallery that I saw it . It could also be that he was trying to sight a friend.
This was busy cleaning up the drainage system because some of those doing their businesses don't take refuse disposal seriously hence they litter 🚮 the place. But the market administration is up to it ensuring that refuse are properly disposed.
I sighted these two young boys they came out of phone store perhaps trying to consider their pocket and to know what mobile phone they would be buying. Sometimes to reconsider either buying a brand new mobile phone or get a fairly used ones since such is found within the market.
I also learned that you could sawp your old mobile phone for a new one of your choice. Depending on your old mobile phone and the new one you want, you could add a small amount plus your old mobile phone to get a new one and I am considering to swap my Infinix Hot 10t for another mobile phone when I am ready.
I saw this beautiful flowers and looking at the environment, I concluded that it was once a florist but now its beauty gives glory to the street.
I got a photo of my own shadow. I actually enjoyed walking and taking pictures. All the pictures here where taken while on motion.
From the GSM market, I decided to walk towards the former cattle market and abattoir at water side. The government of the day had decided to move the cattle market and abattoir to a new environment as much accident were recorded almost on a daily basis. The market to me was wrongly located . And since the moving out of the market I hadn't visited.
Just imagine what would happen to these people if any vehicle should fell break or accident occurs that would be very fatal.
The major reason for moving out of the cattle market from this location is due to the narrowness of this place. Long vehicles and other reckless driving end up landing in the market, crushing lives of the people.
I didn't stop by any where to buy anything because I wanted to make a long distance walk which I achieved and I feel okay. I was able to take 402 photographs on motion. Some of the photos weren't good enough so I deleted those ones where I couldn't capture anything meaningful.
We still don't know what the government plans towards this place is.
